High Crime?

For some reason, whenever I plop something really expansive (like an airport), it always attracts high crime, and no matter how many police stations I place around the area (and use the youth curfew ordinance), high crime always exists.

The airport though doesn't dilapidate, but other things do.  

I plopped this stadium a while ago and for a brief while it was okay; then it turned black.  I really like this one but it comes with 400 CS$$$ jobs, and so the high crime scared them away... the demand for CS$$$ is still in the +.  Anyone know how to solve this?

Maybe it's cause of the power plants? (if you look closely, there's two police stations, one to the left, and one to the right next to the power plant)

I've noticed similar behavior with airports.

Since i see the garbage mod down there in the bottom, I know there is a mod available that has the effect of altering crime to "managable" levels. I placed 4 police stations around my airport and it didn't put even a dent in things, but I havn't had dilapidation occur so I never installed the mod.

Hi, The Arrowz, and all,

They're affected by what is known as the Large Lot Crime Bug.  The stadium looks like it might be large enough to trigger this bug as well.  It occurs because the law enforcement commuting exemplars of the game aren't modded so that police will commute into the middle of a large lot.  Check SC4D for a least one police station by matt325b that has been modded to allow this, and there may be more, so check all the police stations there.
