With nine cities now taking part, thousands of stores, countless designers, models, and of course the probable 1 million+ shoppers that will now be taking place (through both on-site and online activities), we can gladly say ModeNacht2011S/S will be our largest yet. Anna Wintour has stated she will be in Prades for morning activities and attend a kick-off breakfast with the Vogue Savoy editors, before making her way to Prato for the night-time celebration. Prades will also be hosting a concert event with Lady Gaga and Beyonce, as well as many national artists across the city. Grace Coddington has stated she will be kicking off the festivities in Passau. In a rare move Vogue Vercelli editors have stated they will be traveling to Thessaloniki, Joliendroit, Guangzhen and Vorgia to help stimulate even more activity. The cities of Soisson and Renduberg have been designated as Fashion-Green cities, in which Vogue will be hosting countless designers in green/eco friendly fashion. Vogue Vercelli Editor-in-Chief Aliona Dolestkaya will be hosting in Prato. The Knife, Lykke Li, and Royksopp will be preforming at Bertrand, and Lanvin Prato has made 10 alligator skin bags in commemoration for the night. The bags, which are priced at over 30,000U, will be sold and half of the profits will be given to a rising designer at next year's Vercellian Fashion Awards. Alexandra Schulman will be attending the Vogue dinner in New York, which plans to join next season. London, Paris and Milan have all stated that they will be hosting small set of activities.

For the first time ever Mode-Nacht will be hosting Cultura-Notte, an offshot of the nights events. The program will take place in cities with relatively small fashion presence, but in area's where fashion is distinct from most of the modern world. This project will begin in Janaína with a program on not only Mayan but also central and south American tribal clothing. Many lead designers from the southern continent are expected to attend the event, and show off wears made specifically for the night.
