i have a problem... i was downloading citisxl p2p but suddenly it stopped at 69% and the only thing it says is that the download will start soon... but it's been like 3 hours and nothing happened.... anyone had the same problem?

It's strange that it should go down, it being p2p should take the load of thier servers somewhat.

I ended up downloading it from here:

If you look on the left, it has the individual files for download. I just downloaded Setup_CD2.exe and it worked. So just check the sizes of the files and compare with that on the multi-part section, then download the ones that are incomplete.

If you restart the p2p downloader it will say "nn% Hashing" until it gets up to where you stopped.  When the moon is in Aquarius it will resume downloading from that point.  However, mine has been stuck at 46% for 17 hours now and counting.  I have an open ticket on it but I'm not holding my breath.  They have put up a new multipart download link for the English version but I'm a) not giving up on 1.2GB of download as I do not have unlimited quota; and b) not paying for resume functionality when it has been a fundamental and free part of file transfer on the net for over twenty years.  Why they had to play silly buggers instead of just putting it on a bog standard FTP server is beyond me.

aaaa its impossible to download the game without the p2p, because after about 400 mb the download finishes, but the whole file has not been downloaded yet. the link above does not work either.

I have a quick question. The download has finished, and the file is sitting on my desktop. But when I click to open it, it gives me a list of programs to choose from. What do I choose? I can't install the game until I know how to open the file. Thanks.

If it is a RAR file you will need a program to extract it. WinRAR should do the trick.

I've installed the game and for some reason, it did not come with a citiesxl.exe like the shortcut leads to. Also, it wants me to create an account on citiesxl.com when I already have one, yet there is no option to say so. (Not that I could anyway since the site is down)

A Beta is a test file, while the normal ones are the complete, full featured file.

Hello there.  First of all, getting angry will not get you anywhere.  There is a simple and easy way to open a .rar file.  All you have to do is a little bit of research and find out that 7-zip can extract rar files and you can find your installer inside the extracted folder.

i got my download from bigfile. i got very lucky, i got my key from massively!. i didnt even know about the game until a day before they released 300 keys. if your computer is a couple years old, you WILL LAGG. this game requires alot of computing power
