SC4 Vist Bugs

Has anyone found a solution to the bugs on SC4 that happen when you playon the vista OS?

I use Vista, and it runs grand for me. A few CTDs every once in a while, but nothing major. Just run it as an administrator, and then run in compatibility with XP SP2

Hi, jacknite,

Welcome to Simtropolis.  What sort of bugs are you experiencing?  If they are Crashes to Desktop and you have a dual core machine, here is a link to an Adobe Reader document with some instructions regarding the target and the priority.  As it says, it should be read very carefully, and a backup copy of the SimCity 4.exe should be made in a different folder.  Hope this will help.

I use vista, no major problems except CTD's.

There are no SC4 bugs related to Vista, if you are having problems it might be an incomplete install. The problem might be faulty, or conflicting custom content that you are using.

I've also had problems related to the built-in camera and skype applications, unfortunately I'm a MacBoy and find navigating Vista a bit like deep sea diving, at night, with sunglasses on!

I'm still pissed that EA never release a proper mac SC4!!!!!
