Boxes on the lots

Can someone tell me why some of my lots have large boxes on them that say "Simcity 4" or "SC4"?  How do I get rid of them?  I downloaded, and properly installed the "IKEA" store, and the whole lot is a large box....

You're missing a dependency. If you're talking about this IKEA Superstore, it's just a re-lot of the original building found here, which is required. In general, check download pages and README files for dependencies.

Make sure you download all the dependancies listed for the building or lot. They are usually provided in the description for it on the exchange (like the STEX or LEX), or in the readme (if one is provided). Also make sure that you have both SC4 and Rush Hour, or SC4 Deluxe. They won't work on a vanilla SimCity 4 install.

Yup, read the readme and description for dependencies. If you can't find one, or there is no link, you can find a list of many dependencies here.

It's most likely that you're missing a dependency. Whenever you download, check to see if there's any dependencies.

do we put the dependency files in the plug in file along with the other buildings we downloaded?
