Avera Kachi has become a large city. There are about 22,000 low wealth, 65,000 mid wealth, and 14,000 high wealth residents in the city. The average education is 170,
life expectancy is 82, and average income is $72,000. The city now has it's own major league stadium, international airport, and some more highrises.

    Much like Japan...

Or like Australia  (we're not far behind, Life Expectancy here is about 80 years too... Even despite the state our healthcare system's in at the moment...

So far today I rebuilt Heck so it can provide more power and garbage service. Here it is now:
    /idealbb/files/Heck2.JPG

I put I-D here as well as R-$ to take away some of that demand. Also, the residents and workers there will provide me with money to make new power plants and W2Es. And just to show you how much those things pollute:

    /idealbb/files/Heck11.JPG

Some areas in this city are undesireablre even to R-$.

Today I also plan to post updated pics of Akraishon and Avera Kachi.

    Thanks, Dolittle.

Here's another updated pic of Heck. I let the game run for about an hour while I took a break. I got $6,000,000, and bulldozed everything in the city exept for the main roads. I did this to make sure I could generate enough power for the entire region in this one city.

    Pics coming momentarily on Akraishon.

Here's Akraishon now, after being converted to a suburb.

    /idealbb/files/Akraishon3.JPG

Please tell me if this is realistic or not for a suburb.

I decided to download and use the Radical Ordinance in my cities from now on. My problem before I downloaded it was that in Avera Kachi, I had +6000 demand for R-$ and R-$$. Then I had about -2000 for all C, and about flat demand for industry. The result was that in my city, no C or I was being built, but no R was being built either, so my city had stagnated at about 145,000 pop. Thanks to the Radical Ordinance, I destroyed my DT core and rezoned it into 4x4 grids instead of 6x6 so I could get the bigger buildings. Since then, I have 3 Pedrianas, a Lind entertainment, and lots of others. Because there were jobs, The R buildings started getting built. I got a hamster tenements, with 8000 R-$ in it, a zaidi apartments, and 2 Primaveras with about 2000 R-$$$ each. So now my people have jobs, and stuff is getting built! <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/9.gif>

I've been really busy the past few days, so I haven't been able to play much, but I'll post a pic of my downtown later.(again).

As promised, the downtown of Avera Kachi (last time, hopefully)
    /idealbb/files/Averanewdowntown.JPG

The Radical Ordinance works very well.... you can see 4 Pedrianas, and some others. I had 6 Pedrianas at one point, I bulldozed some to avoid building repitition. My population: 182,000, I think.

Thanks to everyone for your comments so far!<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/1.gif>

I've got some new pics this morning. I decided to take pic of areas that are not my DT core, so you can see other parts of Avera Kachi.

Here's a typical industrial area, which is mostly high tech.
    /idealbb/files/Avera21.JPG

A medium density area west of downtown.

    /idealbb/files/Avera221.JPG

The new Colossus of Hirachi ,after converting the downtown to 4x4 grids (rotated for a better view)

    /idealbb/files/Avera232.JPG

    And a mid wealth suburb:

    /idealbb/files/Avera24.JPG

I probably won't post anymore updates today because of the server maintainance<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/15.gif>.

This region is very nice. The downtowns are realistic and the road layout is not a grid! It's actually quite original...but impossible to use without the transit supermod because of the streets.
    Well done!

    Thanks, Simmax.

Here is Avera Kachi again, it's getting close to finished. The population is 217,691.<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/9.gif>
    /idealbb/files/Avera261.JPG

I hope to get rid of the airport and make 1 large airport for the whole region. I just need to fix my computer so it can unzip folders.<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/7.gif>

Here is the region, with names so you can see where the new cities are. The population is about 271,000.
    /idealbb/files/Region215.JPG

And here's the region without the names so you can see the cities.

    /idealbb/files/Region314.JPG

Here is the West part of Endoria, after playing it some more:

    /idealbb/files/Endoria3.JPG

    The East part of Endoria:

    /idealbb/files/Endoria41.JPG

And this is the Endoria Tower, located on the hill towards the center of the city:

    /idealbb/files/Endoria5.JPG

    Endoria's population is 15,377.

Please tell me what you think! I'll take comments or suggestions, good or bad.

Ok, I've decided to restart this region because I've learned somethings from this region.

-Build out before you build up (fill the map before zoning dense) Especially on a large map because when you build the downtown, the mass amount of population there slows the game down a lot.

-Yes, I-D is important. I tried too hard too avoid I-D but apparently that stagnated my region.

-Region play is good. All 6 of the possible neighbors to one of my cities should have cities in them to improve demand.

-Don't make downtowns too big. This will screw up everything in the balance of your city and region because it will provide too many CO$$$ jobs and lower CO$$$ demand. It also doesn't look realistic if it's really big.

My new CJ will be called the Citarthran Adrana Vyhin of the Sanance. It will be on the same Grenoble map, but I'll be starting in a different place and try to build faster and better. I'll start it in an hour or 2 probably.

Its a fine idea to take what you've learned already and give yourself a clean slate. I liked the road layout last time, though, so I hope that's staying put. Good luck.
