need help plz

hi guys im new to the game ans to this forum.. i need a little help here please when i download mods from simcity.com it says that file is downloaded and its in your documents/simcity4/plugins   but when i open the plugin folder nothing is there also mods dont show in the game ... any idea ??

have you unzipped the file after downloading then put it into the simcity plugin folder my friend

Most of the landmark downloads from simcity.ea.com are defaulted to the C:\Program Files\Maxis\Simcity 4\Plugins folder.

yeah but when i finish downloading it just says download is complete and its on your plugin... i check plugins nothing there

Here's a tip, don't download from the official website. Only download from this site, any Japanese site, SC4 Devotion, etc.... Just don't download from simcity.com.

EDIT: Does the custom content appear in the game?

Perhaps you are looking in the wrong plugins folder? See there are two sets of plugins folders; the first is in your My Documents folder and the second is in Program Files. Check both to make sure that you didn't miss anything...

If you are using Vista, it doesn't like any outsiders messing with the Program Files folders.  If all else fails, uninstall the game, and reinstall it, but not in the Progam Files folder, that way Vista won't interfer with the downloads.  Try installing in a folder like this:  C:\Games\Maxis\Simcity 4.
