Modding SC4

Hey guys, got a lot of your great mods.

Saved them to Downloads folder and moved it to plugins folder. Is that all I do? I got on SC4 and discovered the mods werent taking effect in the game....

MAy sound stupid, but i have no experience or expertise in this area!

download winrar and open the downloaded files with that. Then extract (drag and drop or right click and select extract to...) them into you're plugins folder. To keep your plugins organized I suggest making a folder named after the plugin. That should be it. See, all of the files on the STEX are SUPPOSED to be compressed into zip files so you'll need to extract them first. Also, some contain a .exe file (or installer as some might call it) instead of the raw files. Instead of dragging and dropping you'll need to just double click the .exe file and open the installer. It will install the files for you so there is not need to do it yourself!

You don't need Winrar, Windows will extract the zip files. Right click on the file and choose "Extract all". You can then insert the path to the documents plugins folder.
