correct, Odd from Sweden. Can I ask those here who request a txt to PM me if they need to spell out the specifics? This way I can delete and re-submit the final render. Txts are quick renders for my software engine; usually about 5 minutes.

Hordijk: A bit better?

Door next, then mossy rocks, with gradual climb, up from surface and into obscurity, type deal.

here are some examples of what I am looking for...

<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//doorAirlock.JPG align=baseline>

<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//bulk%20head.JPG align=baseline>

<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//misc.bmp width=300 align=baseline>

You might be able to use some of this to make the doors...

I hope this helps you... I am really not good at making textures so this would be a great help to me..

Lynks

thanks again

Nice to see that this thread has been wakening to life anyways!

Glenni, I can fix that city texture in Photoshop to any mood regarding colour/ brightness/ contrast. Just give me a hint of what You want.

pmiller19574, did You check this link already? http://www.planetquake.com/subverse/ (posted earlier in this thread). If this is not enough, I would saearch in the first person shooter community where those textures are found in thousands. www.planetquake.com  is a good place to start.

pmiller19574, the zip seems not to be there. If You are desperate about it, contact the homepage owner. And no there are no textures in planetquake. It is, just as I said, a good place to start looking (hint: links sections and so on 1.gif)

Try this on Glenni. It is easier to see what it turns out like when it is on the building. It maybe needs some extra tweaking when we see how it all turns out. Time to move this discussion to Your building thread 1.gif

What is different about this door? and will i do more? You ask what for?
It's what i adore!
<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//bulk20heade46.JPG align=baseline>
Glenni: Yours is a bit harder as my renders are very realistic and I have to find angles lighting and blur transmissions, etc.

Pmiller: Yes, I can. It is a slow process though, I will finish it today. Cool! now I have a good idea what you need. Thanks much!

Also the other doors? many different ones in the works. If my textures won't do the job, hang on to them, as  you may find something else to use them for. I usually discover, happy accidents with them myself.

Glenni: did Odd From Swedens reflection work? Is that all you need just a rectangle of one glass texture? I can blur the reflect to different degrees called DOF or depth of field.

Odd From Sweden: I like your glass reflection! Nice work!

debussyman I like those textures. Where did you find them? I am looking for something like the first one in dark white/blue/black and white/yellow/black.

Mickebear: you made them originally or modified them in PS? When a texture is requested of me; I first go to the web and study the objects and their textures. Thusly, I end up viewing hundreds of pics, textures, etc. The reason I ask is because the clay tile roof looks very familiar.

Upate: NEW! All exclusive to ST green tin roof.

frndofyaweh: These are from my own collections = the windows and the roof are from my trip to Switzerland (canton of Valais) 2 years ago. I am preparing a bunch of textures like this, from about 2800 photos of buildings that I have taken in the past 5 years.

EDIT: The windows are modified in Photoshop to add the sun rays, that is all.

I asked this yesterday in another thread, but I guess this is the best place for it.

Instead of posting the pictures again, I'll link to it instead.

Original Post Pictures are halfway down the page.

Basically what I am asking is for someone to create the same water texture with a different color (color provided). I don't know how to do it, but if someone would like to write a short little explanation of what to do, that would be more than excellent.

Thanks.
