Graphics Glitch

Every time I try and start up a new city all the buildings and trees have black boxes around them, I don't know how to fix this and I have been playing around with the graphics and nothing seems to work. I have a Macbok Pro 17 inch and its about a year and a half old. I feel like this game should work fine, any suggestions?

More specs on your system, such as cpu and video card info would be useful. Also, if possible, a screen shot of the problem might help.

Ahh, the black box problem...

I think you need to download the patch off aspyrs website, or from the apple website. Or here

If this doesn't work feel free to post again, and I might be able to find another solution for it.

Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo (2.5 GHz), 2.5 GHz, 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 6.8 lbs, 17 in TFT active matrix, EPA Energy Star, EPEAT Silver, Apple MacOS X 10.5

I ran the update and the black boxs still appears around all the buildings and trees

Try changing the rendering options to software rendering.

(You can find these options in the game.)

That might work, it might not as well...

Every time i try and change the rendering it says that the changes will take place next time I restart then when I restart the setting are on default again

It is possible you need the new Graphic file. Check the Mac Omnibus and see if you can find it. Otherwise unityx's updated Graphics file may also work, because it is setup for the newer graphics cards.
