Okay I have Primas SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition guide and I've looked onlince as well. I've downloaded the Autumn Valley map, I really liked how it looked. I created a new region pressed ctrl+shift+alt+R and brought up the menu foun the greyscale map loaded it, then nothing. I tryied this several differant time to the same effect. Eventually I gave up and went to bed. Today I thought that maybe it was just that map so I tried the Ukiah map and it worked!!! Now while the map is nice, I wanted something a bit differant so I tried another one (sorry, I cannot remeber which it was) and this time it didn't wor. I have absoultly no idea what I'm soing wrong. The only differance between the two maps that didn't work and the one that did was the one that worked was a zipped file and the other two, I clicked on the link to download and a window oped with the greyscale image. I right clicked on that and selected same image, and I saved it to my desktop.

Any advice, hints ect. would be greatly helpful. So thanks in advance and sorry for such a *****ish question!

Some maps require SC4 Mapper, or SC4 Terraformer, but those should not include a jpg grayscale. Open the jpg images in an image editor to make sure they are 8 bit, 256 color grayscale images.
