Installing new NAM version

i have read the read me but cannot find the old nam folder, can someone please instruct me how to install/uninstall the new and old?

Well, if you're sure you installed a previous version, it should be in your My Documents/SimCity4/Plugins folder. It could be in your Program Files/Maxis/SimCity4/Plugins folder, if you moved it there, and still able to be used in the game. If you were using it in the game, it would have to be in one of those two places. Anywhere else, it wouldn't matter. If you think you may have renamed it, you could try a search for files with 'NAM' or 'Network Addon Mod' in the name.

To uninstall the older version, just delete the folder once you find it. You could also try the Cleanitol program if you're familiar with it. The new download will have a file to use to delete obsolete files.

Finally, if you don't remember installing NAM before, you might not even have it installed as it doesn't come with the regular game.

To install the new NAM, place it in the My Documents/Plugins folder. You might want to read through the enclosed documentation so you can decide which options you want to use.

well i have never installed anything, i just purchased this game several months ago. so i suppose there isnt an old one thanks

ok i couldnt find a zip file in my download, all it showed was local files, plugins, rail textures, read me and so forth. so i moved the file over to the documents then to plug ins on SC4

If you've never installed it before, just drag the folder that is Unzipped into the ~Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder, then remove the components you don't need, as directed in the Instructions folder. It is quite straight forward when you follow those instructions (which are not linked to from the read-me. If you need assistance, simply ask.

ok thanks so i already dragged the whole folder, im assuming it is already unzipped cus it didnt have a zip file. now which components am i least likey to need? how do i now what i need? again thanks

EDIT: when all this is installed will it work on currently played cities? or do i need to start a new region?

EDIT 2: Ok ty very much I started my city and see themods now I will try to import regions I have tried everything off stex and nothing tgsnks

EDIT 3: ok thanks TEG, everything worked now, im starting to see different roads as clouds now. so if i download new buildings and anything else do i drag them to the same folder? (plugins)

Yea, when you add any other plugins, including lots, you put them in the same folder.
