Hi there. How do you make city tiles larger?

There are three set tile sizes; small, medium and large. You can't make any tiles that aren't these default sizes.

To actually change the distrubution of these tiles across your region you need to edit the config.bmp in the regions folder.

I remember awhile ago somebody mentioned that to change them you would have to edit the sc4.exe.

I also remember them saying this was generally frowned upon.

Is it a case of it is actually POSSIBLE, just nobody wants to edit the original .exe, or is just completely impossible full stop.

Hi, Randomtaskk,

It's really difficult, and more importantly, illegal to modify aspects of the .exe that are hard coded. It would violate the End User License Agreement. So, yeah, we can't go there. But there is an amazing amount that could and has been done, I think.

umm... I really don't even think this is even close to possible , its locked up in the exe , so you couldn't get to it.

yes , I really think there is a lot to modify , though , its really to complex for me , though.
