Trumpet and Y interchanges

For some reason, when I try to plop a tumpet interchange or Y interchange, the color becomes distorted.   Bits and pieces of the interchange are black, and parts are light grey.  It looks terrible so I cannot use them.

Any idea of why this is happening?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe you have those (old) euro-textures for highways within your plugins. if your common highways are black this is most likely.

It just seems, that SC4 can't find those textures for special parts of the trumpet.

Simple, HRS textures have not been made for the new components in the new NAM partial-y and diagonal trumpet interchanges.

Someone actually has to make these textures. I have the asphalt highway mod installed and I get a similar problem.

Happens to me too. I don't mind it. Reminds me of highways in NJ. Originally concrete, with patches in asphalt.

Do you have the asphalt texture mod? If so, make sure that it is in a folder that starts with "zz". This will make the game load it after the NAM.

The thing is that the textures for the Y- and Trumpet-interchanges are totally new in the NAM of January 2009 and no highway texture mod hasn't been updated sincethen. This will be solved in the next version of the HRS (when I find the time)

aaaling: There are a few things wrong with your post.

First of all, that's an avenue interchange, not the trumpet and Y stated in the thread. The avenue one looks fine for both the asphalt highway texture and the highway restyling mod.

Secondly, you haven't updated SC4 I see. By getting the update from the SC4 website (as well as the nightlighting one elsewhere) you will get left turn lanes on the overpass so you don't need the intersections at either side.

Lastly, the asphalt highway texture and the highway restyling mod have the same problem with it comes to trumpet and Y interchanges. Thus, this won't fix the problem stated at all.

I get that too, except I use the Asphalt one. I have a theory about why this might be happening those new interchanges were made from pieces of some of the interchanges that came with the original game. The partial Y uses pieces from the T interchange.
