Problems running SC4 Deluxe with 64-bit Vista

Hey everybody,

I just bought a new laptop with 64-bit Vista. Unfortunately, SC4 Deluxe runs EXTREMELY slow on it. It's virtually unplayable with all its stuttering and such.

Is this a known problem? Perhaps somebody who had this problem in the past can chime in with a solution.

My computer is pretty loaded - it shouldnt be having this problem (it runs Company of Heroes just fine):

P8400 @ 2.26 Ghz

4 GB RAM

Nvidia 9600M GT (512MB Video RAM)

Vista 64-bit

Any advice?

Reinstall or update at simcity.com. I put all my display settings on medium and shadows on low and the game runs pretty smooth.(year old computer 1.80 Ghz) Also click the bit box to a smaller scale. That might help. Other than that I have no idea
