Hi all,

I'm wondering what addons are a "must have"?

Witch addons should I download and install?

Thanks!

NAM - Network Addon Mod (the newest version can be found on sc4devotion.com), RHW - Rural Highway Mod, Building stage mod (not sure about it's name), Hole digging lots (which will help you with the NAM to make slopes for the on-slope pieces), a slope mod. That's what comes into my mind.

Could you be so kind giving me a link to where I can find those mods, except the NAM mod that I've found, thanks. I'm not sure if I've installed correctly. Is it correct that all mods/addons shall be placed in the SimCity4/plugin folder?

I tried to "install" some norwegian houses in that folder, but they won't show up in the game...

How shall I install addons/mods so that they display correctly? Do I need to start a new city before the mods show up?

First you have to unzip the files (if you haven't done that) and them put them in that folder (My documents/SimCity 4/Plugins).

    About the links:

    Hole digging lots: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=3599

    Stage Limits Mod:

Here are some other mods that are useful:

    Farming Jobs Multiplier:

    Abandonment Dilapidation Mod:

    Bridge Height mod:

About the houses - maybe you just don't have enough demand for them. Sometimes you'll have to wait to "grow" the buildings you want to have. And you don't need to start a new city when you have installed mods. But if you had NAM or other similar mod, then remove it and run a city with NAM "things", the game will crash. Read the readmes of the mods you download so your game won't crash after uninstalling or using a mod. I hope this helps you 4.gif

P.S. I forgot to say that the newest version of the RHW is also on sc4.devotion.

Some other mods the think about are water and ground mods, as this will make a dramatic change to your game by replacing the maxis standard textures with more realistic textures.
