Hi, new to the forum. Please be patient as I am no whizz kid on the PC.>3.gif>

Had SC4 for a few years and built up many cities in Timbucktoo.>3.gif>

I had also created my own lands.>3.gif>

> 3.gif>

I had the Deluxe Edition. A crack appeared in my play disc and I had to replace the disc.>3.gif>

Much to my delight I could still use my new disc, on my original games stored in my PC.>3.gif>

I had all the one way roads, bridges and puzzle pieces.>3.gif>

> 3.gif>

Everything was great, then tragedy hit when my PC was infected and the hard drive was cleaned.>3.gif>

Since then I can not re-install my game on the PC, on its return.>3.gif>

> 3.gif>

However we have since replaced the PC which was getting old and when I installed SC4, I found to my dismay that I no longer had any bridges, one way roads or puzzle piece icons. >3.gif>

Q - Should these functions be there when I install the Deluxe edition? >3.gif>

> 3.gif>

I am not sure if it is the game or my anti virus protection which is stopping it.>3.gif>

Q – Has anyone else encountered this problem?>3.gif>

> 3.gif>

I have also tried re-installing the game with the anti virus removed on the new PC.>3.gif>

Again I still never had the bridges, one way roads or puzzle pieces.>3.gif>

Q – Can these items be downloaded other than by the Deluxe Edition?>3.gif>

If so can you point me in the right direction, please.>3.gif>

> 3.gif>

I tried downloading the lace w:st="on">NAM3.giflace> without detailing the options. Novice I know. >3.gif>

Still no bridges, one way roads or puzzle pieces icons.>3.gif>

I am still very frustrated at loosing my cities. Also I am fed up with the hassles I am having, trying to get my new Cities up and running.>3.gif>

Please note I also tried downloading the update to the roads themselves but to no avail.>3.gif>

> 3.gif>

Q – Can someone give me and idiot proof (step by step) to opening up the lace w:st="on">NAM3.giflace> and making my selection / options.>3.gif>

> 3.gif>

Not sure if it’s the game playing up or if should I purchase another.>3.gif>

Can some one please advice. >3.gif>

Q – If I am going to by another game which one – Classic or Deluxe?

Your help would be most appreciated.
Frustrated gamer.

By the sound of it you are missing some third-party plug-ins.

Sorry new to the forum and made the mistake of coping from a office word document.

Routinely do this and it is the first it has happened.

Use word for spelling & Grammar check prior to pasting.

    Wont do it again.

    Happy New Year39.gif

Don't have that problem, although I have two of everything in the menu.

Is it completely missing from the slider?

Sounds like you need the latest NAM(april08?). This has all the roads and puzzle pieces, etc.

    Hi, Major Distraction,

Welcome to Simtropolis.  I had this happen to me when I used a Word document.  If you do want to use Word, you can avoid the smileys by checking the Do not parse emoticons checkbox underneath the message text.

Happy New Year to you as well.
