So I'm a lurker in this forum and such. I've learned a lot of things about SC4 from this site. Thanks people. but i was wondering what's the easiest way to tile the cities together to look nice in the regional view. It's kinda difficult to get industrial areas to match up and make sure that they aren't actually adjacent to each other when you can't see the different cities when you're working on one city. I'm trying to make a nice city, but really don't want to switch back and forth because i'd rather not make my computer think too much. haha. help's appreciated.

When you want a border between say a farm and a forest to continue into the next city you can draw little stubs of road to the edge of the city and making a neighbour connection. When you go to that other city you will see the other end of that stub and you can use that as your reference. You may have to do this several times for a lot of situations so make sure you make a diagram or somehow keep track of the situation(s).

Well, yes, that's the only thing you can do.
It is inevitable that you switch a lot between adjacing cities if you want them to fit together.

I will use the underground view to find the exact line in both cities. The water pipe, or subway works for that. That way you won't destroy something in the other city.

what i do, and i s a big part of parkland (in my sig), is to create road connections between the cities that i can recognize in the next tile to show boundaries between different districts and things i build to make the flow seamless..

For what this it worth...

When I'm making inter-city connections (road, rail, ect.) I place signs with the neighboring city's name on them at the end of these connections (on the border) to remind me what cities are where in relation to the city I'm currently working on.

STREETWISE

Thats a good tip, I think I will use that from now on.  I always get confused myself and that is a good way to avoid it.

Thanks
