Power deals with Neighbors: Simcity 3000 Unlimited

Hello, while playing Sim City 3000 Unlimited, it seems that the power keeps getting disconnected with my neighbors within in a month after I make a deal to give them the power. I have plenty of power to spare and it seems to be doing this with every neighbor I try. They keep complaining that the connection was lost and then charge me money for it. I have even tried using two separate connections of high tension wires with them and that hasn't worked. Any solutions?

if your giving too much for your lines to handle(lots of electricity!)then it will automatically disconnect.

you need to work on those power lines.

so your solution , build a wacky amount of power lines.(two isn't enough)

Hope this helps.

If you do not have the Power Conservation ordinance, you may always experience Power Usage spikes that can break the deal, all of a sudden. Therefore, you must ensure that you have plenty of room like using only 50% of each power plant.

Furthermore, it is necessary to keep the power plants as close as possible to the edge of the map to prevent that kind of thing and make very short power line connections to your neighbord -or- you can always build enormous cities that don't require power lines at all and build a one tile power connection to each of your neighbor.

I know that it's been a long time, but:

If you have 2 independent power grids, then the program will try one the first month and then the second the next month.

I some time power something that I've put up in an out of the way place with one or two windmills. That counts as an independent power grid.

But the windmills probably won't be able to hold up your side of the power deal.

Does it do this even if the 2nd grid is not connected to the neighbor?
