Just a short post to get started. This'll be my second CJ and it will monitor the growth of Brick City. The city covers 64 medium sized maps and draws inspiration from New York City. There will be a Manhattan type of island connected with bridges, tunnels and ferries from New Jersey and Long Island type of areas. I find it easier to fill all those maps with something to imitate. It won't be a replica though.

I gave up the idea of completing the whole city before starting a CJ about it. Instead I'll present map by map, I think, and when they're all done, the storyline will begin. I don't know how frequently this CJ will be updated since it summer and all.

Looks like a good start! Keep it coming...and it doesn't matter if you post sporadically, as long as other people and (more importantly) YOU like how its being presented.

Thanks for the replies ya'll. Here's a preview of the area I'm currently working on. I call it Dope Slope and it's located on the brooklynish side of Brick City. The huge park is under construction and will probably be one of the three biggest in the city. There won't be much space for forests and farms around BC so the parks will play an important role when it comes to the sims recreational needs.

Dope Slope, hah. I like the looks of this. The only thing is I'd like to see some bigger pictures of some of these things. The postcard type thing is cool for an overview, but I wanna see it close up, too.
Anyway, keep up the good work. This is definitely one that has a lot of promise.

This update features pictures taken in Red Hook, Bklyn. The area will provide jobs for neighbouring Dope Slope and other parts of Bklyn. Below are various photos from Red Hook plus a regional view. It'll take a while before I can post good overviews cause no map is finished yet. And again, thanks for the comments!

Nice Detail shots! You really caught that brick atmosphere ...
About your cities not being finished: Normal. Mine are finished when I don't play them anymore ... At least me, I find something to change or improve almost everytime I start a city ...
Just go on, the longer you play 'em the better they become!

Great presentation. I like the layout of your pictures and also the look and feel of that city. It's cool to see some real photos combined with in-game pictures.

    Keep up your work...

Looks really nice and the BATs blend in well. In the very first pic on this page there's a train yard, how did you do that? Is that photoshoped or is that a lot from somewhere?

It's been a while since my last update. Haven't made much progress with the city lately but today I finished most parts of Grooming which you can see on the screenshot above.

Thanks for the comments. They inspire me.
