graphics problem with background of city

the grey grid that appears outside the edge of a city has disapeard  and

also the city blurs when you move across it fast. 

I think it has something to do with the SKU1 update  i installed recently

som maby could someone send me something I could use to remove that file, or something that could corect it. i think the problem is some sort of conflict with the NAM, or possibly some file or something to do with the backgrounds is missing or misplaced. could some one please help me?

i can check this again in 3 weaks

The background images reside in the Program\Maxis\SimCity 4\Plugins folder. There are 5 of them, and if you have lost those, or they are corrupted, you can copy them from the install disk.

The NAM would have nothing to do with the images not displaying. But are you sure you installed the update for the region of your game?
