Hey guys, it's about time I started one of these after viewing so many wonderful CJs on this site. Feel free to comment, all comments (good and bad) are always welcome! I plan to update this CJ every weekend or so - So keep checking for updates

---------------------------------------------

The Republic of Doversea

IntroLetter.jpg

PM Anna Grun is the first female Prime Minister of Doversea. She was elected in 2005 and is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Doversea.

Doversea.jpg

As you can see, Doversea, is the small green smudge on the European continent, nestled between Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and The Netherlands. Doversea's unique location has created a culture that is a blend of both Romance and Germanic culture. Dutch and German are the most commonly spoken languages (most citizens are bilingual), and small pocket communities of Flemish and French exisit towards the Western Border. In the next update, PM Grun will introduce you to the canal infused province of Eiches, located between the German and Dutch Border. Stay Tuned!

    [---- Province of Eiches ----]

      -----------------------------------EichesIntro.jpg

Lukas Oberlander is the Ministerprasident (Governor) of Eiches Province since 1995. He is a member of the CDU (Christian Democratic Union) Party in Doversea, and is currently leader of the opposition.

    Eichesbourg.jpg

Eichesbourg is the premier economic and cultural centre of Eiches Province. Running down the middle of Eichesbourg is the Großartiger Kanal (Grand Canal) that connects the city to the lumber and agriculturally rich countryside. High-wealth residential and commercial areas are often found adjacent to the many smaller offshoot canals found in the city.

    EichesbourgCollege.jpg

Eichesbourg College was founded in 1659, prior to Doversea's establishment as a nation. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious institutes of higher education in Western Europe, especially regarding Liberal Arts. Classes are available in both Dutch and German for students.

    EichesCountryside.jpg

If you follow down the Großartiger Kanal after you leave the Eichesbourg City limits, you will soon wind up in the scenic Doversean countryside. The countryside of Eiches is known for its wine-growing farms as well as its fresh produce. The town of Umendorf (above) is a typical example of a Eiches village.

That's all I got for you for now, stay tuned for the next update! Comments are always appreciated.

Nice pictures! I like the creek in the countryside and the canals in downtown. Reminds me of Venice, but now unfortunately Venice is FLOODED.

Quite a beautiful setting you have created. The canals are looking great, and the stream is just as nice. I really enjoyed this single update and look forward to seeing what else you have up your sleeve.
