I was gone Musky fishing for the last time this year (without success, but had a great time) and I come back here and see the 2nd Llama awards are on. Hey thanks guys and gals for having voted for this CJ to be the best. It is appreciated and gives me courage to continue. Thank you.

What parks are you talking about stjern swe?

Some smaller updates and some new places again.

First we go to the Capitol City of Gloryville and see the finished Hi-Rise of the Brett Corporation, commercial buildings construction Company.Just beside it will be the new Headquarters of the Sirius Group from Uru, now on hold for a copuple of weeks, since Brett took some vacation, seriously earned since two years. Brett now has a workforce similar to Jim, over 400 people, if you include the secretaries, other office personel and the foremen. Mr Brett still lives in Red Poll, but has been waiting for Jim to build his mansion for more than a year now. Jim promissed him that the Mansion will be done before Christmas, in about 5 months. The Mansion will be on Bolton Hill, not too far from Axis South and Gloryville, both Cities, where he has more than a dozen of contracts to fulfill.
By the way, Brett is now in the Top Ten richest men on Genesis, just behind Kevin Slayer.

    /idealbb/files/1Gloryville-Brett'sHQ.jpg
In Birdsview everything has been fixed, after the big waterpipe break last month. Owen Shepherd, who was responsable for this part of the pipeline, hired a new crew of more competant workers and now the pipeline is finished and only waiting for Rilian to make the connection in Belding soon.
Also here in Birdsview, the minister of transport has made a road connection to Birdsview's western Neighbor,Cold Valley, which will be the transit to connect to Grand Falls.
    /idealbb/files/2Birdsview-MayConnection.jpg
It is just amazing where people can find places to live. Right after a road was finished to connect to Grand Falls,a few Citizens have implanted themselves near a lost lake in the Cold Valley. 4 Families already live here,2 hours from the next town, Grand Dam.(Birdsview is only 45 minutes from here, but not a town yet)
    /idealbb/files/3ColdValley-start.jpg
Grand Falls. This is where the road stops, and as we can see, for a good reason too. The Cliffs cut down for more than 500 ft into the lucious Green forest of the biggest valley known, into the valley of the Deep Lake, also the biggest freshwater lake on Genesis. Many call this area the Canyon Lake Valley, but others name it the Ganoga Valley, because of its pioneer, Manny Ganoga, who discovered it first. But some call it also the Devil's Kitchen, since in this lost and very hard to reach valley is the only volcano still alive and it is very alive since 2 years.
A Science and Observation Center has been established on top of the cliffs and already the scientist have discovered that the valley has its own climate, different of the rest of the region.
    /idealbb/files/4GrandFallsStart.jpg
Here we can see exactly, where the Deep lake Valley starts and it expands to the limits of the Genesis region towards the west....
    /idealbb/files/5aGenesis-GrandFalls.JPG
...and here a view of 2 thirds of the Ganoga Valley spreading through the mountain chain. Most of the lake cannot be seen in this view, since it is narrow and follows the inside walls of the canyon, but it goes all the way to the western end.(red lines) Much to be discovered here.
    /idealbb/files/5bGenesisGanoga.jpg
Completely to the east now is Syris, where also life has found its domain. After a Lighthouse was built to show the way to ships to the Axis Harbour, some people started their families here. This time, not too far from civilization, since it only takes about 45 minutes by car to reach the Axis Harbour and an hour to Axis City.
    /idealbb/files/6Syris.jpg
Here again an overview, where Syris is located. Some say a connection plan of the Megantic Mountain and Oxalis township with Syris is on the Regional Administration's table.

I voted for Nexis for best CJ too. I'd never taken a look at this until last week. I read it (took me almost all afternoon 14.gif) in a single shot.

    Keep up the nice work!

Yes crazyarchitect, many little new places popping up all over the region, since the immigration to Genesis is at its maximum, both with the vessels and the LBST system.

I had a look around the region and I figured out that about now  one quarter of it is populated, meaning that 25 % of all the townships have been discovered and at least one Nexian has become a permanent resident.

Welcome to this CJ , cctoide ,and thanks for voting for it. Enjoy your stay.

Back to the story: Mr Otavio went to the mysterious light in Lichen this morning and it didn't take long for him to figure it out, just like a Pro. But to make sure ,he told us, he will go back to Uru and test his theory there......Hm.... Testing this mysterious light on Uru? What in the H.....was he talking about? It is evident that he knows things we don't and some of the scientists are still stunned of Joao Otavio, that it took him only 5 minutes on the spot, before he left and said: * I'll tell you next week about it, ok?*
Meanwhile the mumbling of the different scientists can be heard all over the little village of Lichen.
Joao has to be  on Uru by tomorrow, so he traveled by the LBST to go back. The arrival of the space vessels in Opall's orbit is scheduled for tomorrow, and as the responsable for this mission, Joao has to be present at the Space Center.
He will proof his theory about the mysterious light in Lichen, a couple of days after, or as soon as he has the time for it. We then will get informed and hopefully cleared up.

your terraforming talents are great, MrBisonM...when i saw the picture of Deep Lake, immediately, i thought i was looking at some falls. that is a spectacular little effect. once again, it is the little things which make this journal so great.
    keep up the great work.

This is so original.  If the cities are as great as your story, well, we might have a 2004 Trixie Award nominee.

I'm keeping an eye on this journal.

Wow!  9 months and counting.  It just keeps going and going and going...

Well, I've already put in my city journal nomination, but not for this CJ.  Sorry, mrbison. 15.gif But that doesn't mean I don't like your journal.  This CJ is worthy of a Trixie.  Very compelling story along with the beautiful cities and landscape.

Your cities aren't the most beautiful, the terrain of your region isn't the best, but with all these small details, we are plunged into the life of your region, and this makes your journal one of the best ones, if not the best one...

    Amazing.
