Page 35.....wow, where will this end?

    A smaller update this time:
First the total population of the region: 427,119, (less than I thought)34.gif

Rilian and Owen Shepherd finally agreed on a deal for the water from Grand Dam, and it was officially signed at the Stormy Night Law Offices last month.
Construction began in Grand Dam and in Nexis East at the same time, and this update we will have a look at the northern half of this waterpipeline. They are both supposed to meet at the township limits of both Belding and Cashmere in some months. Most of the pipeline will be underground, but to save some money, some places without danger will be left on the topsoil.
It is a project of several million $ and it is financed by the town of Grand Dam and Rilian Waterworks. (Funny though that Vallen Nexis didn't have his hands on this one)
While Mr Rilian will take care and lead the southern construction, Mr Shepherd will do the same for the northern half.

    /idealbb/files/1GenesisWaterpipeline.JPG
This is the beginning of the long pipe that'll reach Nexis East soon. Here they just finished leveling the ground above the underground pipes, which are done.
    /idealbb/files/2GrandDamUndergrPipe.jpg
Many of you probably saw the pics when the Dam was constructed many years ago, and you probabbly saw the piping also that was already laid at that time for a future pipeline to Axis City. The piping still being there was connected to go to Nexis East, but the project Axis was cancelled, since the City of Axis does not have the money to pay for half of this pipeline......but Mr Rilian did, and I think it comes from his amateur mining for precious stones and metals. ( He must have dug a lot these days).
    /idealbb/files/3GrandDamConnectionWater.jpg
Just before the tiny town of Birdsview, the pipeline goes back underground and right under the village. It will stay underground for safety reasons, like tumbling rocks, avalanches etc, just look at the region map above and you can see that the terrain is too rough to keep the pipes above ground.
    /idealbb/files/4Birdsview-Pipeline1.jpg
Since we don't hear and see much of Birdsview, probably the most quiet place around, I took this chance to show you the little developpment of this town. These folks are surely greatful that the Rilian's Waterworks has reached their hometown, since water here is heavy on copper content, which is supposed to be poisonous for consumption. Hm... when MacVicar heard about his copper, he send some of his geologists here to find out more about the copper content in this part of Genesis.
    /idealbb/files/5Birdsview-pipeline2.jpg

Other news: Evermind Wellwisher today announced that the Space Station Nexis 2 *The Traveler*, is finished and final tests and verifications will be done for the next two month befor the voyage to the Green Planet. Remember this station will travel to the planet of Verto for the discovery and scientific research and also to recuperate the lost Space shuttle of G-Spacer II, which seemed to be crashed on this planet almost a hundred years ago. G-Spacer II was send to Genesis with robots in the beginning (see early pages of this CJ for more details)

The NRS ( Nexis Railway System) owned by Troy Nexis' sister Lyll, has started last week the construction of a rail connection from Red Poll to Nexis City and further Cedar Bay. Something that was asked for long time ago. I personally think that this railway will do the trick of having the town of Nexis explode into a Mega City soon, now with the arrival of the Highway and the industrial town of Cedar Bay just west of it also.- We will keep a close eye on these two municipalities, Nexis City and East Nexis, both mayored by the same.

I'll be back with the continuation of this pipeline construction (part two) later this week and we also talk about the arrival of the 5 spaceships into the vicinity of Opall. Then we will have a look at Hawklyn's Mansion on top of the hill in West Axis, that Jim is about to finish and the 3 Hi-Risers in Axis City that Brett just finished, Tiel oil, Razor Blade Hq and a high Appartment Bldg.

Make sure to be here, so not to miss it........3.gif

Before we continue with the bigger news mentioned in my last post, I'd like to show you some of the less important news that lately occured in the Capitol City of Gloryville.

This morning a traffic accident happened on Main street in Gloryville, just near the Space Station Replica park. A young man from Axis City hit the BMW, which belongs to Swamper from Swamper signs,in the rear end. It was Mr Swampers wife Jessie driving. The hit was very sudden and also heavy, which of course left the victim, Mrs Swamper, with a bad neck injury. She was transported right away to the General Hospital on Willow Street, where it was confirmed that the injury luckily is only of small importance. She was released later this afternoon. The yound man though was accused for drunk-driving with causing injuries, which here in Gloryville is a very serious accusation. Mr Night from Stormy Night Law Offices was demanded by the young man, which also is the son of Col.T.Jerter from Atlas.Hm.....something is about to go wrong somewhere here.....hm

    /idealbb/files/1GloryvilleAccidcent3.JPG
While we're in Gloryville: The Sunset Motel on Mountain street, that leads to Barby's Vacation Center, was condemned today to pay a fine of littering, in the amount of $5000.- and the Motel was closed until this is paid in full or an agreement has been filed.
Because of the high cost of the garbage removal, the owner of the Motel decided to get of the garbage in another way, by throwing it into the woods on the side of the road, but not having thought of the animals that ripped all the garbage bags appart during the night and littering the whole area, road included, the incident was quickly reported in the morning by several residents of this road. We all remember that the animal life in this part is very abundant, being close to the Natural Park.
    /idealbb/files/2GloryvilleMotelGarbage.jpg
And the last news for today in Gloryville : The preparations for the Genesis Centennial (100 years of existance), will start in less than a year and the main attraction will be right here, where it all started, in this old downtown of Gloryville. This is where the first camp (X marks the spot) of the first Urulians was located almost 100 years ago. Many of the first arrivals will be honoured, including the encounter with the first Gaburan from Mahoon, Oriole.
Edit: Sorry, forgot to make the X on the picture. It should be between the two older buildings.
    /idealbb/files/3Gloryville-OldDowntown.jpg

Be back later this week with more important news. 2.gif

    Ok,another big update.31.gif

Red Poll has a Train Station now, thanks to the NRS (Nexis Railway Systems),which Lyll Nexis, daughter of Vallen, is bringing to Nexis City soon. This is the first stop, from here it 'll go through Nexis Islands, which will cost a fortune in bridges, only to meet East Nexis, Nexis City and end up in Cedar Bay and then through Unforgiven towards the New Country.
Red Poll always has been the place to own a cottage or small home and relax during weekends and enjoy nature and the Nexis River outlet to its fullest. Almost everyone we know has a cottage or weekend home here. But we will get to this in a later post.
The Regional Administration Office from the Capitol has forbidden many years ago , ever to build anything bigger than a 2-story house in Red Poll. Now with the railways coming through and being right in the middle between Gloryville and Nexis City, will that change? Many ask themselves. The rails can do wonders, some one once said.

    /idealbb/files/1RedPollRails.jpg
These are the Nexis Islands, no one lives here sofar, it has been out of reach of everyone and all of , Yes all of it,is Private Property of the Nexis Corporation. Even the road, highway and the rails belong to the Corporation, since it was them, who financed them.
Now the rails have arrived here also, right after Red Poll and only to connect soon to the next township of East Nexis very soon.
Breathtakingly beautiful township, Vallen Nexis kept this part for something very special, that he won't talk about.- This is also the place where the first *Freshwater whales* were seen, remember? The only people that one can see here regulary, are the Marins scientist, which still try to figure out, why they are much bigger than the Saltwater cousins.
    /idealbb/files/2NexisIslands-Rails.jpg
Adley Hawklyn from the Hawklyn Valley Farms in West Axis, and his wife Melissa, now have moved into their new home on top of his hill. Probably the home with the best view around, besides Jim's own home in Tenzel Outlet of course.
Adley can see his whole farm from here, and also see the Experimental farm (not shown). He is about the same altitude as Grand Dam, which will keep a little cooler all the time. Adley said, when he moved in , to the press asking why he is scared that much of another inondation: * Darn Hometheater got drowned by the water the last time, and I wanna make sure that this will NEVER happen again, that's why I built there!*
Miss Kitty Cat has been in contract with Adley lately, probably to buy a lot from him on that hill also, only to have her home build nearby and out of reach of the danger of futur inondations.
    /idealbb/files/3WestAxisAdleyMansionView.jpg
Of course Jim's Construction Company was the one who built this beautiful Mansion also, which has cost a little fortune for sure. Jim told me that he personally liked working there, because everytime he took a break, he admired the view of the Hawklyn Valley, as many call this part of West Axis now.
Being a fan of fitness, Mr Hawklyn has his own tennis-court,which he abuses every evening with his wife.
    /idealbb/files/4WestAxisAdleyMansionBackside.jpg
This is the frontview of Adley's Mansion, not as exagerated as the Slayer Mansion in Skinner (remember the Party?), but one can see that it takes a lot of money to own such a home. The red Porsche is his wife's car by the way. (She must be blond!)
    /idealbb/files/5WestAxisAdleyMansionClose.jpg
This is Megantic/Oxalis mountain, which has the mysterious healing effects of some kind, not yet explained. Land was lately offered for sale, in many smaller lots, and to make sure that no one buys the whole, a maximum buyable was set. But somehow some got away with it under other names or something. Wonder how they did this. One of them is Sven, who owns the double of all the others, now that he sold the shopping Mall in Axis City to Adley Hawklyn. Another one is Miss Barby from the Vacation Center in Gloryville.
The inside of the coloured lines indicates what land is owned by the name of the same colour.
    /idealbb/files/6MeganticNewOwners.jpg
Back to Axis City, Brett's Company just finished the other three Hi-Risers, one for Tiel Oil, one for Razor Blade and an appartment Skyscraper, all on the spot where the Fire-rage happened four years ago. Great going Brett, he will start on some other Hi-Risers in Axis South, a bank,Nexis Railways Hq and others, in a short time and then for the Sirius Group in Gloryville, which will implant themselves on Genesis. This will be a challenge to Brett, he personally told me, it is supposed to beat all the other Hi-risers in height.
    /idealbb/files/7AxisCtyBrett'sHiRisers.jpg
Miss Evermind and Tim are both working in Atlas, the gouvernmental town. Evermind just finished the new Space-Station Nexis 2 *The Traveler* in the outer space of Genesis and which is being tested now for the big journey to Verto and maybe after, to  meet Opall. Tim has been supervizing the construction of the Station pieces, including drives and computers, here in these giant metalsheds.
    /idealbb/files/8Atlas-vue-ensemble.jpg
To get into these buildings you need two passes and go through two check-ups. Security is at its maximum in these premisses and controlled only by the Atlas army police and the Sherlock Security Agency from Bolton.
It is Sherlock himself with Tim's help, who designed the security pass system, which was developped and installed by no other than our Computer Specialist from ZeDeCo, Henry Zeddicton. Some of the computers have access to the outside world, but only to the Ruler's offices and the Regional Administration Office. Although the whole space program and the two buildings are owned by no other than Vallen Nexis, he does not have distant access to these computers, to avoid pirating the system from his home or office by others.
    /idealbb/files/9Atlas-factory.jpg
Let's have a look at the old downtown of Axis South, which might soon partially disappear to make room for some Skyscrapers. Some of the citizens were against the destroying of these beautiful buildings, but then Mayor Rico Az, mentioned that a few of these buildings will actually stay where and as they are. Plans of this new part of Axis South are in the hands of MrVegetable's Office at the moment, and he himself will do the planning to avoid as much destruction of Axis South's history as possible. We will wait and see what the plans will be like, then only Mayor Az and his counsel will give the ok to Brett's Construction.By the way, I like to mention here that Axis south just passed Gloryville in populatio for the second time in ten years, now counting as 112000.
The small underground shopping Mall will stay, where it is at the moment, because Mr Rico is already thinking of being the first on Genesis to implant an underground system, which might relief the traffic above ground in the futur. Great idea! A Subway in Axis South?
    /idealbb/files/10AxisSouth-OldTown.jpg
A last look into Axis South, we see the Nexis Electronics Distribution Center, where Henry Zeddicton gets all his stuff for the Intercity Computer system and also where Wren Trey gets his finest electronic supplies for his stores from.- The next time (or so) we will have a look at the Manufacturing Center of the Nexis Electronics Co in East Nexis, which is enlarging now almost every 6 months. Troy Nexis, supported greatly by his father Vallen and his wife Noyita Dice, is about to launch a new computer system that he and some of his workers have been working on for 2 years, which will revolutionize the world of computers, and probably make him a richer man than his father........hm, I am already curious what it will be like.
    /idealbb/files/11AxisSouth-NexisElectrSale.jpg

Ok, enough now for the moment, three updates in a short time should have made you all happy, right?21.gif
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Be back next weekend.-We will listen to Evermind Wellwisher's speech about the *Traveler* at the *National Space Traders Convention* and also look at what Rilian is up to on his side of the waterpipeline in East Nexis. Joao Otavio will come for a two week vacation, before the spaceships will arrive near Opall and we will have a glimpse of Dan's University in Bolton. Also a working accident in Birdsview , a partial black out in Axis South ,something strange in Lichen and a look at grand Falls, soon to be opened to the public..

All this and more , coming up during the week to come.......3.gif

    Great update!
I have some questions about the spaceships: (they should have evolved a bit37.gif)
How long time does it take for them to travel from uru to genesis?
How manny people can be loaded in a ship?
And how manny ships are in duty?

About the spaceships: On Uru it takes about 6 days to prepare and load the vessels,92 days to reach Genesis, unload and reprepare for the homeflight, another4 days, so it is about 102 days for a round trip. There are 16 ships in use right now. If there are no materials loaded on the ship at all, which very seldom happens, because a lot of precious stuff is being shipped to Genesis, they can hold up to 325 passengers.

Now, this (the spaceships) is NOT the *Maingate* for the immigration to Genesis, but the cheapest. The LBST (Light-beam Space Traveler), located on Uru and here in Gloryville, brings approximately 1200 people per week, the max it can do is 1500 before overheating and causing malfunctioning of the system, but I think Joao Otavio is working on this to increase the number immensly, in his free time.It only takes 7.3 seconds to reach Genesis. It can only be used once every 20 hrs or so and the max transportation is around 210 individuals per voyage.

To start with our next news, promissed on my last post, we will have a look at Rilian's Waterworks and his connection of the Grand Dam waterpipeline and also the arrival of the rails in the Nexis Country.

As we said before, the pipeline started on both ends, in Grand Dam and East Nexis and are supposed to connect somewhere in the middle in either the township of Belding or Cashmere. We saw the beginning in Grand Dam earlier and also the continuation in Birdsview's rough landscape. Here is East Nexis's side of it, it is all ready for the waterflow to come. Rilian's Waterworks Central is ready to function at 90 %, and already is sending water from the underground pumps in Nexis City to Gloryville and its surrounding townships, such as Red Poll, Bolton,Skinner etc...
The older installation of Rilian's watersystem here in East Nexis is still in use and probably will be too for quite a while.

    /idealbb/files/1Nexis-EastGenView2.jpg
A closer look of the Waterworks reveals also the Manufacturing of the bottled water, which used to be in Nexis City, but has been moved to this Central for convenience. In Nexis City , they will concentrate more on the mineral water and other drinking liquids.
Mr Rilian which was,and probably still is, making his fortune with his hobby of amateur mining for precious stones and metals, still owns the Marina in Nexis City. He was seen lately a lot of times with Adley Hawklyn from West Axis, trying to deal something out, but honestly, even with my spies, I don't have an idea, what they both could be up to. Sounds like something big, that is what Dr Evel told me, since he sees both of him in his Nexis Starbucks every sunday morning together and sometimes even arguing heavily about something and it seems to be about a co-operation of both or something.....Hm? What could possibly Rilian have to do with Hawklyn? Adley has its own water system for the fields, independant from all the others, pumped up from the Tenzel river. So it ain't water, it is more than sufficient. Then what are the common interests of both of them?
When I saw Mr Night from the Stormy NIght Law Offices, I talked to him about this and he told me that he knows what is going on, but can't tell for the moment, since nothing is yet confirmed , and because this will be bigger than the MacVicar Mines, there is a lot to deal and talk about, before the announcement will be made. Just be patient, he told me, it'll take a year or so......Geeeeez, now I am really curious!!!!
Ok now, let's get this straight. Rilian has the waterworks for drinking water, a marina and does a lot of amateur mining...Hawklyn has a good part of the food market, the shopping mall and the farms in West Axis,Axis South and Treeland.Hm? To sell water at the shopping mall will NEVER be bigger than MacVicar.....What is going on?42.gif
    /idealbb/files/2NexisEastRiliansWater1.jpg
Since a week we see a lot of smiles in Nexis City and East Nexis on the road. The railways are arriving, which will be great to travel to Gloryville from now on. Something that everyone has been waiting for. The construction of the Railwaystation started and surprisingly it is Mr Vegetable's new Construction firm, who is doing the construction.Mr Vegetables still has the architect Office in Gloryville, but lately started a construction firm, since construction is what everyone needs more and more of, with all the Urulians arriving every week now through the LBST.
    /idealbb/files/3Nexis-EastTrainArrival.jpg
Also here in Nexis City, the railways are coming and now Cedar Bay is unpatiently waiting for its share of the trains. With its industries already installed and many more to come, it has become a necessity for the railways to pass through Nexis City and Cedar Bay.
We will all see how this will have a giant impact on both towns in the futur.
Also here in Nexis City, Dan, the Director of the regional School Commission,is waitng for Jim to have his new home build in the vicinity of the Nexis lake , close to Vallen Nexis' Home. Soon, Dan will open the first University in Bolten Center, which it is called now.We will be there!
    /idealbb/files/4NexisCity-Rails.jpg

Later this weekend we will look at the causes of a major electricity failure in some parts of Axis South and also a working accident in Birdsview.(what a mess that caused)....and I hope I will have something about the Rilian/Hawklyn matter.

    Have a nice weekend.2.gif

At 2:00AM this morning, some thieves have tried to blow up the private safe of the Commercial Bank's owner in their HQ in Axis South. The explosif charge was so great that the whole room was demolished, thus causing a partial outside explosion and a partial Black-Out of the downtown area. 9 buildings were without electricity for more than 3 hours. All this was instantly heard and seen and Sherlock Security was informed.
The thieves, three of them and all about 19 years old, were caught while trying to leave the building in a hurry. They managed to neutralise the Security Alarm system to get in, but blew the safe into pieces with a explosif charge that was strong enough to blow away a one family home. Sherlock hims3elf told the press this morning that stupidity again didn't pay.
12 Charges will be filed against these men. Mr Night will be their lawyers.- During the black-out , another 8 thefts were reported, only smaller ones though. It took the Sherlock Holmes Security Office about 20 minutes to secur the whole sector of this downtown area, which was quite effective.
Reparations of the building are put into the hands of Brett's Company who was the one who just finished these Hi-Risers a couple of months ago.

Btw, they are still looking for the safe.............

    Back to the news:
Joao Otavio just came back from Uru where he is leading the expedition to Opall. Before these 5 vessels arrive in the vicinity of Opall, Joao decided to have a week of his favourite relaxation, which is spending his days delta-planing and racing cars at night on Main street. His next trip will be to Opall, once a base camp is installed
This though got known quite a bit and many amateur racers have gathered here every weekend up to a p

Thank You for the Continued Support!

Simtropolis depends on donations to fund site maintenance costs.
Without your support, we just would not be in our 24th year online!  You really help make this a great community. *:thumb:

But we still need your support to stay online. If you're able to, please consider a donation to help us stay up and running. This helps sustain a platform where we can share our community creations for years to come.

    STEX Collections

By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.

Each donation helps keep Simtropolis online, open and free!

Thank you for reading and enjoy the site!
