Sorry, but I should 've mentioned it here before, but I somehow forgot to mention it.

 

This Journal is not finished yet at all, nor abandoned.

The reason for my absence is that I was too busy at one time and then, I got seriously sick, and again after I got well, I had too much to do .

So, this is the reason, why I haven't post anything yet.

I will continue, starting next Monday, to tell the story of Nexis.

 

Delai_Llama, yes my cities are amazing.I have over 225 Nexis lots and only maybe 100 on the Lex, so imagine.

Here is just a little taste of what's coming up. (the picture is in the next reply).....

There are over  a dozen of unique Nexis lots on this picture only, and I didn't show you  the best yet.

I want to keep the best for my story.

 

MrVegetable: If you never have seen Nexis lots yet, you surely haven't been in the LEX. There are over 100 Nexis lots available there.

 

Dig1tal: To get all the small bushes in the first pics, all you have to do is making the altitude of the terrain high enough that the trees won't grow anymore.

Ok, here it goes on finally.

Sorry for being a bit late.

In the year of 1262 before Nexis ( which is the year 0, the year of the big Happening, the year of .......hm...) Urulians have started to build a Space station ( for the use of observing the other planets more closely), which is in the orbit of Uru of course, and as before still are wondering, what it would be like on Genesis.
Now, scientists are more interested than ever, since the discovery of the Great Meteor Opall (see picture),which seems to be in the direction of Uru.
It won't be for another Millenium or so, but worries for the future of Urulians have started. Maybe the Giant planet of Kdorn will simply absorb the meteor, which is the same size as Solaris.

Urulians have been in the outer orbit of Uru now since some decades,and without any problems.Within the next decade or so, some people will stay for longer months in this Scientific Station.Studies of Genesis will be in their Main interest, but also the Meteor and the neighbor planet Mahoon, which is still a great mystery.Some Historians said once that Urulians were born on Mahoon.....hm....hard to think of right now.
Meanwhile,while building the Space Station, another blue  neighbor planet has been discovered , very close to Solaris, but only showing up every hundred years or so.Where it comes from and where it goes, no one knows.

Genesis is blooming,temperatures have dropped from very warm to mildly warm and comfortable.Life is growing into thousands of forms and colors, and the planet has come to a point where it could be a Perfect World.

This is it, the beginning of Discovery......

 

After many years of gathering experience in Uru's orbit, Urulians have evolved into curious creatures looking further out.
It surely took a lot of check-mates, but finally it was done.
The take off  for the first unmanned spaceships with robotic machines was a success. Three have been launched and are on the way to Genesis to collect data as much as possible.It will take many years to get there, and everyone on Uru is awaiting the contact with Genesis.
Is there life on Genesis, is there intelligent life on Genesis,will it suitable for us? All these questions are asked,and unpatiently awaited for its answers.

Three vessels to three different regions of Genesis , to solve its mystery for once and for all.

 EDIT:  There is a big error here on this picture. It is supposed to read Corus , instead of Mahoon.The vessels haven't reached Mahoon yet and besides, no one knows yet, if it has Moons at all.

 

 

After 2 years and some months, on their way to Genesis, one of the Urulian ships has sent some pictures of the mysterious Planet and its moons (also of the other two vessels). A Strange darkblue planet that appears only for a few months every 2 years.They named it Corus.
Meanwhile on Uru, scientist are grateful with their achievements so far.Another dimension is opening before them.The population is amazed.

Dr.A.Opall, the scientist that has discovered the Great Meteor and which the meteor is now named after , made a speech today to the Directors of the Board of Uru Rulers.Explaining that they must find a solution within the next millenium. Now that it is certain that the meteor (27 times bigger than Uru) will definively hit Uru and just absorb it in its shell.Their planet won't even affect its trajectory.
Kdorn (the Giant Planet) did not alter the Meteors path, as hoped by all the scientists.

He , Dr Opall, also mentioned that the only possibility for the Urulians to survive might be the populating of Genesis, if the planet is suitable for their lifes.To find out,although the first mission is on its way to the planet,it will take many centuries. Also it will take time to know the possibilities to live there and to get the knowledge of sending manned spaceships this hopeful planet.

Not to be rude or anything, but just a small note (Just another one of my useless rants):

If Kdom was the same size or larger then Solaris then their combined gravity will most likely pull themsevelves closer together. Considering the proximity of Kdom to Solaris, Kdom will be vaporised if it gets anywhere near Solaris. To support life, I assume Solaris is a medium-sized star; much like our sun. If this assumption is true, and the ratio of your star-system pictures are correct, I could safely conclude that Kdom will eventually fuse with Solaris... Increasing it's size and density. This sudden increase of size and density will greatly increase the heat, light and other radiation outputs. So if this will happen, all current life on Genesis will be destroyed. I believe that Uru, putting into consideration that they are a relatively advanced civilisation, will be able to forsee this happening and move out-system before this catastrophy happens.

in case you can't tell from my avatar selection, i'm a bit of a space not. and while there are things which might not be scientifically correct - at least theoretically, i am willing to suspend believe. i do this for the same reason i like 2001, 2010, Contact, Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly and other space related entertainment.

yeah, maybe at that size Kdorn should itself turn into a star, but....ah. could care less. besides, mrbisonm could be fooling with us, as well.

 

an excellent story. personally, i don't find it too long or anything, i like the pace as it is. i wouldn't rush in showing your cities...you have a good bit of a pace going on in here, and quickening the story could upset the pace. a great key to great entertainment is keeping your audience wanting more.

I am not a specialist in Astronomy at all, I like watching at the stars at night and wonder what they are and why. And that's about all I know...lol.So , please understand.

Corus: a darkblue planet, very close to Solaris , is appearing only once every 2 years or so, because it orbits around that sun very slowly.Urulians have just discovered it, because ,even with the intense light of Solaris, it seems to absorb light radically.Hm? In the skies of Uru, one can hardly see that planet and only with a very powerful scope.No known dimension, athmosphere,etc yet.

Mahoon: a planet that has been there before Genesis, another darkblue planet,which travels around the sun at the same speed as Uru, the homeplanet.About two third of the size of Uru,sofar it has been speculated that this planet is 100% water. Because it is close to Solaris,and turning  around itself at a higher speed, there is no ice.Research on this planet has been given up, many years ago.-The three vessels will go past it very close soon and take pictures (soon to come in the journal)

Solaris: the sun and a size of about one quarter of earth's sun (earth= another blue planet that I have heard of  in another system with possible life)Existing since the beginning, it is this giant fireball that gave the ideal conditions for life in this system.

Kdorn: The Monster, but only recently has been proven , not to be a planet at all.One can fly right through it, they say........hm.....still to new to be explained.That is the reason , why the Meteor hasn't been absorbed?

Novalys: probably a completely dead planet, wandering around Solaris at 2.3 times the speed of Uru.Its days are only 22 minutes,spinning like a washing machine on the rince cycle.About half the size of Uru.

Genesis: a very new planet.Almost one quarter bigger than Uru,78% water and very stable temperatures.Life in abondance. This is the planet that this story is all about.

Opall: the meteor that will probably hit Uru within the next millenium,27 times bigger than Uru.Mostly made of Ice, they presume.

and Uru: the home planet of Urulians (humanoids), about 65% the size of earth (that other blue planet I was talking about above) with 72% Water,temperatures which are rising about 2 degrees Celsius every 5 years, taking 612 days to go around Solaris at the same speed as Genesis and Mahoon.Has a population of 4.9 Billion and growing, and also starting to have space problems......https://community.simtropolis.com/assets/emoticons/23.gif>

Woah! Keep it coming mrbisonm! Do all 3 ships make it to Genesis as you make it seem as though 1 or 2 don't get there. I'm also suspecting that the Urulians will move to Genesis a couple of years before the meteor hits Uru and obliterates it. Possible people on Mahoon may also want to live on Genesis and the two races will fight for the planet. Just a guess at the storyline.

Bad News!

Something terrible must have happened.Rulers, Military Officers and Scientists from all over Uru have gathered to Uru Centralia (picture), where everything important ever,has been taking care of.When they meet here, something's wrong.
Rumours are that their space vessels have been attacked by..... Aliens ?What Aliens?....How?...Where?.........., Oh my god...........,but these news aren't confirmed yet.

The Leaders are in the Meeting since early this morning and no one has come out yet,not even to give the population a hint of what is going on and what happened.The Security outside of this building has never been seen as tight as this.It must be Bad News!!
People know for sure, that Pictures from the spaceships have been arrived during the night.Though, what is on these pictures, no one outside this building knows.The Vessels should be near Mahoon by now, and beyond Solaris.What is on these pictures?What happened,... for all the rulers and scientists to gather this early?

While waiting for the events to be clarified and made public, we might as well return to Genesis and have another look of its glorious beauty in all its splendor.This should be , or could be Paradise.
The ground is covered with darkgreen forest,contouring lakes and rivers in abondance, although some places  do still have some slight volcanic action.These are sometimes causing minor forest fires.-What would it be like to build Cities here,all with respecting nature at the same time?

O THE SUSPENSE!!!

Not even at the peace talks in the year of 4277 before Nexis, a meeting has lasted this long.It is now 22 hrs,that 312 people were in there without any exterior contact.

ok, the word is out........

The rulers of Uru have decided to make the event public.

Everybody was waiting  for that news of what could've caused ALL of the rulers and scientists to meet here.

First of all, at 2:18 AM, the Space commisioner called the rulers to inform them that they have completely lost contact with all three vessels,which is the first time since their take-off, and almost impossible to understand.-Then at 4:42Am, it happened......Some very unclear pictures started to come in by the dozens from G-Spacer II (one of the 3 vessels sent to Genesis and the one programmed to make hundreds of pictures during the 7 year journey)), and finally the last pictures were very clear and also extremely surprising to the scientists.

Now, G-Spacer I and III are back to normal and on its path to Genesis.What happened , no one knows yet. -G-Spacer II right after its last picture lost contact again and it hasn't been re-established yet.Bad News,because this is the one vessel that had the job to survey and take pictures of the surroundings of this mission towards Genesis.Only G-Spacer I now can still take some pictures of the Journey, but both I and III have robots that are able to photograph everything ,once they 're on Genesis.

Here at Centralia , is where the meetimg was held,and still most of the scientists and rulers are here discussing the event in details.

What the last picture showed has shocked All the personal.Questions appeared all of sudden by the thousands. What is this, How did it happen, Where did it come from???

The commision will release the photos  on the evening news tonight .This is THE discovery of the Millenium , since Genesis.

The roads and streets will be empty tonight,every one will watch the News..............................................

Tonight all the Tv stations had the same News.
A new Planet has been discovered.
A larger (2.2 x the size of Uru) very greenish planet was discovered during last night.Some disturbance from this planet was causing a lot of trouble with the Vessels, which were just passed Corus. Contact was lost and G-Spacer II was sending pictures like never before.It might be the electro-magnetic field of that Green planet.Still G-Spacer II didn't make any contact.Yet too early to know if it is completely lost.- This is the greatest discovery since Genesis!

This green planet (named Verto) seems to be always travelling in the shadows of Corus and couldn't have been discovered before, although it ain't that far away. What is it and why is it green?-- Scientists and Rulers have decided to send another experimental vessel  within the next 4 years to Verto.

Also another picture from G-Spacer I was send in  and it shows the first image of Genesis and the second spaceship at halfways past.

Corus always has been the Mysterious Planet, appearing only for awhile every two or three years, but  with the finding of Verto, the Green planet, scientist have to go back to their drawing board and have a lot of studies to do.They think that Verto is following Corus in some way and its staying in its shadows all the time.That is probably why Verto has never been seen before.

Meanwhile on the planet of Uru, the population is going nuts with these news.Also the Rulers are demanding Workers like never before and Hi-Teck jobs are available by the hundreds. * We need to build another ship to go to the Green Planet, and we need it Fast!!*

That was in the news tonight.-So the building of  Vertoyager I has begun.

Next week , we will meet some individuals from Uru, those who will be remembered in history.One of the Rulers, the General, and two scientist, but also another very young kid, who just learned how to walk. His name is *Daight Nexis* and he will make history.
