Any1 know how to increase population past 2M ppl?

Hi, this is somewhat a continuation of my topic in General Discussion...

I just wondered... Has any one ever got past 2 Million people in one city tile??? If so, can you post your ideas?.... because I wanted to get my favorite city past 2 million people....

I think there was someone who had like 3 million in one city.

My best guess, a large tile, and almost all High Density residential.

The tile would most likely need to be all flat, no rivers or unbuildable hills...

and a lot of time.

    My city is actually mostly located on flatland and with some land adjusted to make ports and other things... and a river that is centre of it.... but it ain't very big because of all the land reclamation projects to make small islands to make more space....

    BTW, if u don't get what I am talking about, here's a picture of the geography of the city, along with the traffic congestion view...

    Note: Don't mind the population because that was two hundred game years before I post this topic...

    Have you tried subways? They can help to reduce dependencies on highways and reduce space used!!!

    it is very difficult to get the links on simtrop to work - I will post a link to the same place again.

    after creating a link - you must edit it - then select http://      then re-copy the url into the url box , then click ok - that fixes it.
