Hello its me again, i started playing SC4,  after been sick on June of this year,  i am feeling allot better now,   however the thing that bugs me is always the taxes.

>_>

I set my taxes 8.0 from the start, once my city starts to grow my taxes go down.

How do you deal with taxes again?

And also i bought the Sim city Creator for the DS, and i have no problems with making a city there, but on the pc?  i would be happy, if some of you could teach me  just a bit  on the taxes.

I put the manufacturing and dirty industry taxes at like 14, lower the high tech taxes to 4 and residential and commercial stays the same.

I wouldn't try to start a metro area with dirty industry taxes at like 14 percent , nothing but farms will grow at first!!! build some education - keep all taxes low, and wait a few years.after a while , education will rise and manufacturing and high-tech industry will begin to look for places to grow - then you can expand your city beyond a small town and raise dirty industry taxes(very old and-or very large dirty industry districts may almost completly abandon after a little while , this is why its better to build a small town first so dirty industry factories are more likely to be replaced with better types)

as you probably know - demand goes down when taxes go up.Demand is the direct way to tell weather your housing - jobs need is right - if there all equal - good!!! you can reduce c taxes like mad and you will get a lot of bussinesses trying to move into your city , and that means that people will want to move in too.(and that means more tax revenues!and more expenditures too!!!.)this can make big city making much easier.

I usually start with the default 9% taxes - then I reduce and raise them as I need to.

Hi there.

Maybe it is not the same thing but your problem seems to have something in common with the Phantom Funding Sliders Bug. Check it out and see if its you problem. You can also check my research on this subject on this thread I've written.
