                          Update 7.0!!!!!!!!

Crater City is doing fabulous. No money problems. A steady growth in population. Everything. Crater City now has 62,412 people in the city. Many hi-rises are growing in other various places in the city. Also, thanks to SimFox's Diagnal Midrise A and Midrise B, my building it beautiful! They are growing everywhere.

    SC439.jpg

    And also here.

    SC440.jpg

Isn't that beutiful! Also, the new tallest building in Crater City has been built, in Settlement Village. Kwai Chung Estates 2 by the HK/ASIA BAT team.

    SC444.jpg

Sorry for the farm picture up there. My Photobucket upload somehow screwed up and did that to most of my pictures. Settlement Village also has an airport. Settlement Village National Airport or SVN.

    SC446.jpg

Airplanes fly to and from it very often. Crater City also got a Golf Course just of the Hi-Rise District.

    SC441.jpg

Crater City is becoming more luxurious every day. Settlement Village has definatly grown

    SC445.jpg

And So has the Hi-Rise District.

    SC442.jpg

And in Settlement Village is Crater City's first Commercial District!

    SC443.jpg

Crater City also has a new subway sytem that goes through most of the important areas in the city and to ease traffic.

    SC447.jpg

Well, thats Crater City, a majestic city of pride and glory.

    Till Nest Update

Nice! Yeah simfox makes some nice buildings. I also saw several brown boxes, you should make sure you have the proper dependancies for whatever that building is.

umm ok... You got to look out for those dependencies you seem to be missing. Also, in page 1, I saw you got lots of desemployment, be sure to provide enough commercial districts or areas for your sims or your city will sart to look very dirty as you can see on those black buildings. You should think about replying to all your comments as you may loos some audience if you don't. Also a bit more of custom content would be great, and maybe some water textures. I like the concept of building in a hillside, looks great. I hope you enjoy doing your cj.

To fix the industry demand do not link all your cities to all your other cities.. it creates an infinite demand loop.. kinda like our economy now.

    Connect like this.. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8

    ................................................l...

    and like this........ 16-15-14-13-12-11-10-9

8 would be connected to nine and such.. snake the connections.. no one region is connected to more than two regions.. north/south or east west..

that's the best I can explain it.

There is a whole thread discussing the demand loop, and another suggestion.. there is a vagrant/abandonement mod/cheat that you can use that makes your buildings harder to abandon (for the purposes of the cj).

    Good luck.

yea its not bad, it just needs work, your buildings and stuff seem to make your cities better,

also you need more transport venues and even parks and recreation, stadiums things to make your city more interesting

    but keep it up.

    UPDATE 8.0!!!

    HEY GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry i haven't posted in like...forever. But, i was busy with other things like school, sports, etc... but i also stopped playing SC4. Anyway, i started playing SC4 again, and began a new city neiboring Crater City called Delta City! I believe this city is better, and the Cratoria Council has voted Delta City Cratoria's capital! Here are some pictures.

    SCN11.jpg

This is the map of the Great Plains Region. A population of almost 200,000 and growing. As you can see, the two cities are connected by an airport and car+passenger ferry, as shown.

    SCN2.jpg

This is an aerial view of Delta City. Complete woth tall buildings, a buzzing economy, and an internation airport (code DIT) which connects to Crater City's NEW internation airport (code CCI). Yet Delta City (nicknamed 'The Delt') has slightly more than 50,000 people. The airport boosted the pop. by about 200,000 in a couple years.

    SCN1.jpg

A closer look at DIT, which is located on the northern part of the peninsula. Unfortunatly, about 51 luggage items have been lost =(

    SCN9.jpg

A closer look at CCI, with 72 misplaced luggage items and 200,000 passengers a year.

    I'm sorry i haven't posted in a while.

Yea. I try to keep up to date, but my CPU is a bit full on storage, so i limit my STEX downloads. Sorry for the wait on posts =(

Thanks! you'll see more as Cratoria becomes larger and larger!

Thats all for replies, now. back to The Delt.

    SCN3.jpg

This is another look at Delta City. Pretty homey. The zoned areas are recently put, so ignore it, mostly.

    SCN4.jpg

An even closer look at the downtown residential area of The Delt. I would give credit to the authors, but i forgot their names, so to make up for that, THANK YOU TO ALL YOU STEX UPLOADERS!!!!!!!!! lol

but back to Crater City. i know you guys are dying to see it a metropolis. but sadly, not yet. Still, Crater City is getting bigger!

    SCN5.jpg

This is Crater City now. Pretty nice. That blue building at the bottom is the new highest building in Crater City. Oh, and how do i fix the dirty buildings?

    SCN6.jpg

A closer look at the Alexander Building. A residential building with 3700 possible rooms. Currently, 3217 of them are occupied. Again, how do you 'clean' the dirty buildings?

    SCN7.jpg

If you look at the picture a couple pictures above, in (now newly named) South Point, you can see a minor league stadium. Also, if you remember from a long time ago, this is where the Crater City Fireballs play. This is one of the venues i was talking about in the replies (fabsies55).

    SCN8.jpg

And here is a major league stadium in Settlement Village. There will be a poll on the team name. Also, a minor picture. A bridge has been build to connect South Point and Settlement village directly.

    SCN10.jpg

Thats all for today! Please keep watching my CJ. I know i haven't posted, but don't hate me!

    Till next update

    SCN12.jpg

The beginnings! See the avenue up there? that is for future development. And the windmills are Harbor Shore's signature power source, cleanest wind in the world.

    SCN13.jpg

Looks like people like it here!

Now back to Delta City. A new tower has shown up!

    SCN15.jpg

Ryan Apartments! Nice people live there.

And finally an aerial view of the richest, smartest, people who like the mayor most, and awesome place in Delta City. The area on that big avenue now named....... Education Avenue! due to the numerous schools and educational facilities there.

    SCN14.jpg

I've just skimmed over your CJ, and I must say that it reminds me of some of my earlier work, such as Patrician City (selected snapshots below):

You seem to defy your username, which is good in your case.

Thanks. To tell you the truth, my layout is a pain. To much congestion, and i can't build avenues or else i will tear down important parts of the city. Thanks, anyway!

Wow! I mean, Wow! Those are some nice pics. I'm gonna check out your CJ. Quick question, did you put those avenues in your pictures before, or after? Anyway, thanks for the username comment17.gif

In other news, this CJ has over 1,000 views! Also, nearly 50 replies! When it hits 50, i'll have a surprise for you, can't tell you what though16.gif

Also, since Crateria is a large region now, i'm gonna start a news paper. Edition one will have regards to all recent replies! Edition 1 will be out tomorrow (3/25/09) or today (3/24/09)

    Bye

Hey guys! I hope more people will post in this CJ. I know i have been gone for a while, but really, this CJ is now better than ever. I just wanted to say, i will not re post my CJ in the new City Journals section. I am used to this CJ forum, and i hope you support my decision. Thanks for the support!

Actually, Patrician City has been closed since June 2, 2008, so please don't bump it 2.gif. It is my first CJ, and I thought that it might be interesting for you to see how my work evolved to its present (and still evolving) state. If you wish to see work even earlier than that, I have a region in storage which I can show you snapshots of, if you request it.

The avenues were put in before development, but I'm sure you can achieve similar results with clever demolition.

Also, nice newspaper, and a good name (Meteor Times - what else for Crater City?).

Patricius Maximus: I skimmed over your Patrician City (don't worry, i didn't bump it up19.gif carried away. Ah well, i'll get by.

saathoff37: I peridoically do check for suggestions, but if you look for the past week(since sunday) how many replies do you see? Thanks for looking over the CJ, it's kinda hard getting my readers back.

    And Now...

I couldn't get an especially big surprise8.gif but i got something!

As said, this CJ now has 50 posts (not includiong this one)!

Every poster since i came back will be featured in my Newspaper article and more!39.gif

Coming back is a big thing for me, i stopped this CJ, and i regret it, so i want to get my readers back and have an incentive for posting/reading my CJ.

    A look into the future:

At 100 posts: All frequent posters will be featured in the newspaper and be incorporated into my city!

At 150 posts: All frequent posters and those who had great suggestions will be featured in the paper and a new city(s) will be built in their honor

    At 200 posts: Fiesta baby!44.gif

    Thats all for now!

    Till next update

An interesting system, and I'm glad I was the 50th poster.

Don't worry. I'm sure your work will be as good as that by the end of the year.

Thanks for looking over the CJ, it's kinda hard getting my readers back.quote>

I had the same problem in my first CJ. After a 6-month hiatus, replies were only half to two-thirds of what they were. Of course, that was remedied when I got a new CJ.

I hope my advisement can be of use to you.
