plugin pack missing

I am getting an error message that says something like: plugin pack 309819133 is missing on your system . . .

I had not played SC4 in about a week.  At that time everything was fine (no error message).  In the interveneing week I DID NOT add or delete any SC files.  What gives?  How can I locate this particular file as a search on the number returns nothing?

If I remember correctly, the number isn't much help in finding what's missing (unless something has been discovered recently). However, I believe the message pops up if a model is missing, and in that case a brown box should appear on the lot that is missing the required file. Try checking your city for any lots with 'brown boxes' and check the lot's file for any dependencies. Hope this helps...

Convert the number to hex (use excel dec2hex or calculator). Search your hard drive for the number. If you deleted the file and emptied the trash bin you won't find it. If you've just moved the file out of the plugins or it is still in your trash bin, you might be able to find it as the number in hex is often included in the lot file name. Not always, but sometimes.
