I'm at a complete loss as how to install NAM (Mac Version). Anyone care to post instructions? Thanks

You are correct in that the Mac version has no installer. There should be a readme in the folder. Read it up carefully and do precisely what it says! It's complicated, but if you take your time and read and reread the instructions, you should do fine. 4.gif

Thanks. Perhaps it is a case of dumb-luck, but I placed the entire NAM for Mac folder into my Plugins folder. Everythng is working correctly. I know I'm coming across as dense (perhaps deserved) but I have been all over the read me docs and did not see any instructions for Mac.

Is that all you need to do - get the whole NAM folder which you download and move it into the 'Plug-Ins' folder?

Why the read-me file doesn't tell you that is beyond me! I've been trying for about a year!!!!!

Thanks. Your 'dumb-luck' had paid off! lol

Nope, that's not what you should do.  There's a good chance it'll crash your game.  Otherwise, NAM will do nothing and you'll have a 15MB albatross bogging down your game.

As for the documentation, all instructions on the Mac version are for Mac.  Only difference is that you don't install in "my documents" or "program files" since Mac doesn't have that.  Instead, try putting your selected NAM files in users/(you)/applications/simcity4/simcity4 data/plugins.  That's where I keep mine.

As an example, my applications plugins folder looks like this:

And my NAM plugins folder looks like this:

Thank You! A graphic description, what a differnece it makes. I got a screen shot-now it's time to do it right. After five years of tearing out my hair playing SC4 on PC, I have finally sucked it up and moved my game to my prefered platform. Not to mention how silky-smooth SC4 operates on a Mac Pro with 2-3.2 Quad Core Xeons and 4 GB of RAM. Sorry, just had to exalt; sometimes it seams too good too be true. Well, posting screenshots like that is such an immense help and, once again, thanks Zelgadis.
