Game looks fantastic. Played the demo, and I'll be grabbing a copy myself sometime this week.

This could easily be contested with GTA IV as the best game of 2008. Its that good!

Best,

First thing - It is a fantastic game but it is easily the most difficult game I have on PS3, there are some fantastic and fun bits but its dragged down by difficulty, like doing the same bit 5+ times. I think it'll be much more fun after I've completeled it once as I'll have upgraded all my force powers to max but still its a great game but their are definetly better ones coming out this year,

Demo level is the easiest in the game (excluding vader level)

I have just beaten the game today.

I actually enjoyed this game where the law of Lucasarts is that 1/2 of all Star Wars games are utter failures. This one I think is a success. It does use the new Euphoria engine (although it appears to not be QUITE in full implementation, IGN covers this). The force powers are just incredible.

But the aspect of this game that I enjoyed the most is the story line. It was actually compelling and the use of the Star Wars soundtrack was impeccable.... and FOR ONCE Star Wars had decent voice acting (save for Princess Leia, she pissed me off). I mean, the main character felt pretty life like. Games usually fail to capture angst and I thought it did a good job. I really enjoyed the take on the story, even if its far from being canon. It connects the two trilogies in a pretty awesome fashion and the two endings are pretty neat, although the good ending is far superior (and the only one that meshes with the official time line).

Overall I give this game a B. The bad guys, even on normal can be rather cheap. They love to hit you while you're down (too logical dangit!) and some of the bad guys negate you're force powers (some a lot) and your reliance on lightning is a bit... high. The finale is pretty hard but enjoyable and a good challenge.
