Is SCS and SCC Part of a Different Simcity Branch?

With the advent of SCS and SCC, I'm sure that questions have been asked about them and their status with the rest of the 'true' Simcity games.

I, along with some others, believe that SCS constitutes a spinoff branch of the franchise, and should be treated as such. Some believe that it should not be considered a Simcity game at all, and I agree with them.

But facts are facts. SCS is called a 'Simcity', and so is Simcity Creator. Both are EA's handiwork.

So, I am curious about your opinions. Please vote, and comment if you have anything else to add.

They're definitely more like spin-offs than sequels. They're too different from all the others in the series to be considered a continuation.

spin off's , They may have the simcity name but ive never really felt they were true sequal's. it's kinda of like city life to cities xl, just instead of getting better it got worst.

Reasons why they probably are spin-offs.

1) SCS and SCC aren't called SimCity 5 or SimCity 6.
2) They have completly diferent game play (well we dont know about SCC).
3) Maxis didn't envolve in the making.
