Underwater Tunnels

I'm curious to know if standard tunnels function normally underwater. I've already made one in a city of mine, but when DrawPaths is turned on, it doesn't completely connect the two ends. Furthermore, if I take a U-Drive-It through it, I wind up in the middle of the river this tunnel's crossing.

I don't care about u-drive it stuff, but it would be nice to know if normal vehicle traffic can use it.

A tunnel underwater does allow regular traffic to go through. From my personal experience i have built a tunnel as the only way of crossing the river and the sims used it. However, I was not able to UDI through it as I just seemed to follow the terrain and end up deep in a hole and unable to get back up.

It is possible to drag it with transistions...actually subways considering road to be transitionized.

Just use the hole digging lots 3.gif

Put one on each side of a river, drag a road, and voila!  An underwater tunnel!

ok, true, haljackey, but i was under the impression that you have basically level the terrain of the water between the two tunnel entrances. did i miss something? anyway, i generally prefer Bladhy's work when it comes to crossing rivers underwater since you have more flexibility as to where you can place the entrances/exits. this allows me to simulate other such tunnels in the real world. for example, the Holland Tunnel isn't exactly a straight shot into Manhattan, but curves on the way over and at the very end. a subway line can easily mimick that.

I'm new to all of this so sorry if I sound dumb, but what is a hole digging lot and where do I get it?
