Laying down subway

Hello,

My city is in dire need of a new mode of transportation, the subway. However, laying down stations with all the tall building around is rather painful and tedious.

If there anyway to toggle the buildings off while laying down subway stations?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

What I do is change the view to zones.  It shows the roads and the zoning where the buildings are, but not the actual buildings.

That didn't work for me as it says I need to exit underground mode to use the data view.

My solution is to lay the subway lines along a road and place the stations besde that road, then go back underground to see if Any of my stations are not adjacent to the line and connect them accordingly.

We really need a view for subways and bus stations. I mean, trying to place them in the mess that is a metropolis is a nightmare.

use the on top mass transit lots... where you can put a subway station where you laid an avenue or a road already... instead of placing them beside the avenue... there's something you can download from the STEX about this... the version 3.5 I believe

Have you tried entering the dataview prior to selecting your subway tools?  You may still get the need to exit underground view in the status bar - but it should let you go ahead and use the main city window.
