Looking for a mod...and am failing badly

My PC bit the big one, and I just bought a new machine.  I am re-downloading my rear end off to get all my stuff back.  I am looking for one mod and can't find it anywhere.  It's the one that turns all the random stupid-like news off in the ticker, leaving only the useful things (rewards, warnings, etc)  So, good simmers, anyone know of this?  TIA

Have you tried Simtropolis's Modds and Downloads section?

Would the modd you are looking for be this modd?
