Mod Questions froma newbie

So when you start modding things are you changing code?
Does this ilive utility just allow you to do it via the utility instead of going into dos?
I would just like to know before I start doing stuff exactly what I am doing / affecting.

OK, Ilive Reader (I think that is what you mean by utility), does most of it for you.

You still need other stuff like SC4 Tool and more but I think you mean Ilive's Reader.

Basicly you wan't to save as your file after you make it so you don't change the main SC4.dats. REMEMBER: Save As not Save!!!!! I'd suggest you don't save the hole file over again so you save space on your computer and to prevent copyrights. Just copy the files then put it in the file called blank.dat. I'd suggest you get this and read this to get more information. If you need more help just PM me.
