Residential problems

I have a city with 600,000 commercial, and 300,000 residential. but every time I try to build more residential, most of the buildings in the city will get the no jobs sign and go abandoned, then turn black. I dont understand why, I have plenty of jobs and good masstransit system. what am I doing wrong.

first of all the factor of beeing attractive , build lots of parks and nicety's near you're residential area's to increase attractivity

second of all the factor of intelligence .. if you're residents are as dumb as monkey's then they can't work in commercial buissness.. place more schools , musea's , library's.

The solution I have is when you see those no job/no road connection signs appear over your residential homes, make sure there are enough jobs & play your game at turtle speed.

Usually, the reason a building will dilapitate is because the sim didn't have enough time to find a job.
