Mayor Tim now this is too cool. Kinda what I was talking about in the Philly thread in regard to what I was saying about realism. I like the map alot and the evolving deleopment is what I like to see.

Im loving your city and region...its awsome so far..the only thing i think is off is the res outside downtown...i think it shouldnt be low...but atleast medium res..but just my opion keep u[ great work

I hope to make 2 updates today. I did a little more and completly re-did the Airport. Here are some pics.

 

The first pic is a transportation map of Verona and my airport. If you look carefully you can see what  I added today.

Next up is a normal region view pic of the same area. It is blown up so you should be able to see some detail.

 

 

And fininally a pic of Spire Park; one of the newest and largest parks in Verona. It was built around The Verona Needle after a construction accident toppled several nearby buildings.

hmm...why is that Airport logo is near your city, not where the airports are supposed to be?

I love Spire Park. Those fountains look fantastic.  Where did you get them?  Keep it up!

The fountains are a custom lot that I will post later today on the LEX. The rest of that area is just grass with every type of tree on it. Then of course the Verona Needle (it is a landmark if you didn't know) Is next to the convention center.

 

Also, The airport sign is from the airport tram. I just know noticed that the airport sign was not over my main airport, and will fix it later.

Greetings from the Mayor of Timopolis!

 

These are great cities.  The layouts look just right.  The ratio of parks to development is nice.

 

I'm curious about road layouts and such.  Does this create any kind of budget problems for you, or do the zones fill quickly enough to recover?

Well, I really can't answer that because I use both mods and cheats. I like sandbox style play. I use the super demand ordinance as well as a couple of cheats For the moment I use the power cheat untill I make my huge power plant. (will provide power for 3 cities). Now don't everyone bash me for playing for asthetics instead of function!

Would not bash you for playing sandbox-style.  Once upon a time, I was a no cheat snob, but I'm beginning to see the virtue of each style of play:  one to face the challenges of budget constraints forcing a pace to growth, and another to test the zoning/traffic/aesthetic/whatever-else theories that you might have.  It does look great.

Tim your region is great but post some more close ups to show your hard work.. Also try and expand a bit more on the islands to the north they create an awsome possibilty for good spans of bridges as well as the use of under ground tunnels and such
