Growable Residential MIX

I was just wondering, when you download a bunch of different BATS that are growable, how do you make it so that each type of building is together with its matching buildings, instead of mixing with a bunch of other different styles of buildings. For example I downloaded a bunch of german residential buildings, as well as some amsterdam ones and a few W2W. Once I decide where to build these I draw my green lines and now what? How do I make it so that all the german residential buildings grow next to each other, and then the amsterdam ones on another spot. Since before my game crashed I remember my residential areas growing german buildings, then amsterdam ones, then US style buildings and it looked like crap. I saw in some CJ's that people here have made it so that buildings of one type grow next to each other and another type in other areas.

First, you check on the lot sizes of the specific types of buildings you aim to have growing. Zone only in those sizes.

Next, see what tileset they are under (ie: Chicago, New York, etc). Once you know the tileset that your desired buildings are in, just make that the only selected tileset in the game; but, some lots will grow under any of the tilesets, so this may not help you too much.

Now, assuming you aren't dealing with an already developed city with custom lots, you can simply only have the buildings you want in you plugins folder until that area of town is finished. Then add the next group you want to build, though you will have to have the files for any buildings already in your city. Also, you may want to use a mod to block all Maxis buildings from being built.

Finally, you let the zones develop and bulldoze any buildings you don't want when they grow. When you get a building you want, you make it Historical so that it can't be re-developed. You can also plop commercial buildings and landmarks of whatever particular building style you want, but plopped residential do not work, so no easy way out on those.
