I am a newish user of Simtropolis. So far and with help I have been able to 1. Download the Binary Update From Aspyr for my Intel Macs. 2. I have added the Nam April 2008, correctly, I think, (I took the advice a very carefully read Section #5 on the install page) 3. I downloaded all the files at KBoom's site. And I am slowly trying to figure out the how to on those. So here's my question. Do the above updates negate in anyway the information in the pinned documents. Reason I ask is that some of the threads were started many years ago and might be outdated in their advice???? Also I want to where, and if, I should get the dependancies noted in the "Read me's" in most of the files I have downloaded from KBoom. I have a lot of questions so please pardon me...but I can't learn anything without asking. TIA Gnat

I, and perhaps others, probably are not sure which pinned documents you are referring too (I'd assume the sticked threads from this, and perhaps other forum sections). As far as I know, most should still be correct, the game hasn't changed that much. As for the dependancies, you must get those to be able to use the files properly. Most of the BSC dependancy files can be found at SC4Devotion.com, on their LEX. It should be noted that they are all .exe installer files, so you will need either Windows or Filejuicer to install them. Some of the dependencies required are also on Kboom's site.
