Hey everybody! I tried to find a racing track set on the Stex and elesewhere but couldn't find anything, so I made one myself, out of the NAM smooth curves set.

I need some help, though. You know how some of the park trails have arrow props on them, to show their orientation, which dissappear once the lot is placed? I'd like those to help here.

EDIT: Obviously, there's going to be more pieces, like starting grids, chicanes, pit lanes etc. etc.

I like it!

Could this be used to form a track other than a roadcourse, or is it going to be strictly for F1 and Indy cars?

Either way it looks good.

Well this is first. I always wanted a Racing Circuit! If you make this trasnit enabled connecting the track to the city. Then this will get a 10/10.

Squiggles35: Well, most types of races are held on tracks like this besides openwheel-racing. Sportscar racing, touring car racing, motorcycle racing and a glut of one-make series. In fact, the only races I can think of that don't use roadcourses are NASCAR-style races, which require banked corners and rallying, which are driven on the open road.

Evillions: Not so fast! This is only my first try with this sort of stuff....

It looks like several lots have been used together ie modular (which is a great way of doing it), but transit enabling would not be possible. I agree its best to leave it non transit enabled.

    I think so.

By the way, pitlanes are now in existence.

All I need now are some stands and a proper pitbuilding...

I was going to get around to doing this too! Now I don't have to!

It might look better with some gravel traps on some of the corners. And don't forget tyre walls when modelling the other buildings!

The example track you've built looks really good!

This is also being developed here: http://simcities.net/forum/index.php?topic=1974.new#new

Seems to be a lot of interest in this type of package for SC4. Perhaps people could get together and move this along?
