Uploading Greyscale Images

When I try to upload a greyscale image in-game (once I've download a region from the STEX), it's always saying that there's an error because the greyscale image is too large and needs to be 1025x1025 - how do I fix this error?

Don't make the region in the game until you have created a folder for it in the regions folder, and copied the config.bmp in the folder. Otherwise the game uses the default config file, which is 16x16 pixels and uses a 1025x1025 pixel grayscale.
