Nihonkaranws: Thanks! I'll certainly try to keep this going for longer than my previous projects.

    Penguin007: Thanks!

Simfan34: Wow! That's some praise! Thank you. I've grown to love the Plopmodd exactly because of that.

    Simtastico: Thanks! I will.

    Smarty218: Thanks!

    Oceanmariner: Once again, Plopmodd.

    Twenty20: Thanks!

Benedict: Thanks! I've elaborated on that concept in this update.

Abcvs: Thanks! I've downloaded almost all of Peg's stuff....

    haup.jpg

It seems that making your own stuff is kind of hard, so I won't be able to show my project to you yet, so here's some more other stuff. We return to Donarheim, the old city. We already visited the classical sections, but Donarheim has other areas too...

    sc06x02.jpg

    sc06x03.jpg

    sc06x04.jpg

    sc06x05.jpg

    sc06x06.jpg

    sc06x07.jpg

And to balance out these inner-city pictures, here's a little village along the river Ams (aan de Ams means 'on the Ams').

    sc06x08.jpg

    sc06x09.jpg

And here is the 5 star hotel overlooking the same river. (Amszicht means 'View of the Ams')

    sc06x10.jpg

And as a closer, a teaser of sorts for my secret project. Can you guess what it is?

    sc06x01.jpg

That's all for now, until next time!

There actually IS a road there. It terminates at the building you can just see the edges of. An underground elevator/rail then takes everybody to the hotel.

Ahh the racetrack!! I've been watching you develop that. It looks good.

I like the way you've built the medium density housing streets. The trees behind look great. (it's one of my favourite ways to build residential)

I'm a fan of the sunken highway in Donarheim too.

Wow, I love how you blended in the Maxis rowhomes with the non-Maxis ones! It's nice how everyone has trees in their backyard dispite being in the inner-city.

The Hotel is absolutely A M A Z I N G !!! Probably my favourite feature of your CJ so far!

And I can't wait to see what your project is!

Fantastic job with that hotel (maybe you really should have made a road so that it would look better). You got me interested in that race track! Hope to see more of it soon9.gif

Are you kidding me? Are you *bleep*ing kidding me? What the heck was that? Was that even SimCity 4? Because if it was, I'm going to have to faint now! You certainly pulled away from SC4's unrealistic roots and made a city that has me at the edge of mi seat, wondering how the heck something so realistic and beautiful was made with SC4! FRIKKING AWESOME MAN! 9.gif

    Smarty218: Thanks!

    Jacqulina: Thank you!

Psander5: I'm beginning to like ti as well. It works very well for bulking out a city.

Penguin007: Thanks! The track is going to take a bit longer though...

Manubeas: WOW! Thanks! That's awesome. I'm going to name something after you as gratitude, like a bridge or a building. Your choice, no limit.

Roboo1: It HAS a road. It just ends a bit earlier.

    Nihonkaranws: Hehehe. Thanks!

    haup.jpg

Sorry guys, the track isn't done yet. The guardrails consistently fail to align properly. I think they do it out of spite, the little bastards...

    sc07x12.jpg

Nevertheless, "Nulla tenaci invia est via", as a certain company puts it. Cookies if you guess which one...

So, anyway, we where at Weurtingen. There's a little river and spring nearby I wanted to show you.

    sc07x01.jpg

Now that that's out of the way, we can move on to something more exciting. Remember in the history bit I told you about the large asian contingent? HA! Didn't expect a test did you?

Anyway, most of those where from certain agreements made with the Emperor of China (or at least in his name) in the early 1800s. These agreements allowed Harroning a sizable portion of trade, colonies and special goods in return for what can only be described as a reverse colony. An expedition was mounted and a section of land was set aside for the newcomers. They called it Qiao Cheng. The expedition wasn't all that succesful, but retrieving all the colonists was far too expensive, especially since the Opium War started, and such an expedition would surely be attacked by the British. Over the years, the Chinese ceded Qiao Cheng and it's inhabitants to Harroning in exchange for Harroning's Chinese colonies. The Chinese maintained a strong cultural identity, but over the years integrated with Harroningan society so much that fully half of the colonist's descendants live outside the city, and Chinese became a second language for most Harroningans. Qiao Cheng is now a district of the city Alderingen.

tl, dr: I needed an excuse to use the fantastic Asian bats.

    sc07x02.jpg

    sc07x03.jpg

    sc07x04.jpg

    sc07x05.jpg

    sc07x06.jpg

    sc07x07.jpg

    sc07x08.jpg

And some more regular Alderingen pictures.

    sc07x09.jpg

    sc07x10.jpg

    sc07x11.jpg

On a side note, dýou think I put too many pictures in each update?

So uh yeah. Hello. My sabbatical is sort of over, but don't start to expect any regularity from now on.

    Anyway, replies!

Nihonkaranws: You made these? Good job! They're excellent.

Oceanmariner: Guess I disappointed you for a while, eh?

    Anarchy0029: Thanks!

Penguin007: Technical difficulties. I had to reinstall windows, and now the BAT won't recognize gmax. eugh...

    Manubeas: Thanks!

First we visit Abrogane, a nature reserve and former hunting grounds of the Grand Baron. His palace is still maintained and a popular tourist attraction.

    sc08x01.jpg

    sc08x02.jpg

    sc08x03.jpg

Then, we return to Alderingen, and view a bit of concrete, steel and glass.

    sc08x04.jpg

    sc08x05.jpg

Parrunnerzijl ( the dutch ij is one letter, '-zijl' is pronounced 'zile' ) is a small city, which sprang up around the harbour. It's generally regarded as a bit of a lower class place, despite the lush surroundings.

    sc08x06.jpg

    sc08x07.jpg

Moinse Split (pronounced Moinz-eh Split) is an older city, favored amongst local businesses and possessing a great nautical tradition, especially with small ship and yacht construction and sailing.

    sc08x08.jpg

    sc08x09.jpg

    sc08x10.jpg

    sc08x11.jpg

So that's it for now. Good night!

Amazing work. I like how you combine the great nature with urban areas.

Abrogane looks really nice, I like the castle. I was there and I've sawn the castle of Neuschwanstein and it was very impressive.
