Help needed, health and edu budgets dropping on their own

I don''t know how this started, but my health and education budgets are automatically adjusting themselves. I thought it was because I was running at a slight deficit, but after dropping some billboards that generate cash to kill the deficit, it continued. At the end of each month, the budgets in question will adjust themselves downward, and will continue until there is almost no funding for hospitals and schools. This leads to strikes, and a shrinking approval rating.

I''m gonna try bulldozing all hospitals and schools and replacing them(I don''t have many) and see if that works. Its gonna hurt my treasury, but having to reset the budgets each month is really pewpy. I guess I''ll have to hold off on that major commercial expansion for a while.

In case anyone was wondering, I did try the search, but it just kept timing out. Plus it takes forever to find an answer using search.

Well, that fixed it. Wonder how that got started. Very crappy "fix", my budget is blown for the next few years.

Maybe my health and education advisor is corrupt and was skimming off the top?21.gif

I am currently having the same issue with my health/education budgets. When you blasted all your existing services, and rebuilt, did you save, exit and then reenter before building more?, or did you just blow up, and rebuild without saving. I thought it may have been a dud MOD or BAT that i had installed that was causing this. If anybody can shed light on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. I dont fancy bulldozing every school and hgospital in each of my cities. This problem is effecting all the cities in my region. I cannot stop it! HEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!!!26.gif

had the same thing happen to be but mine was just education budget
best I understand i41.gift ...mine was a civic EQ building...not sure which one (widdled down to 6)...but lead to beleive it was the raduis modding of theis particular lot messed things up EQ budget kept going down and down (not sure how46.gif , thats an ongoing investigationin itself sort of45.gif)...no mater how many times you raised it.
I bulldozed the lot and all other EQ buildings29.gif...kept happening8.gif..city was cortupted in my case I deleted it45.gif

best bet look on your EQ and HQ view...check if you used any new lots or a lot glowing that shouldn't be a park or some other lot that either contains both of these elements...or you might be possible looking at two different lots..maybe42.gif

try an identify the lot if possible49.gif..left a blue imprint in the city EQ view end afterit was gone47.gif

You know, in these kinds of instances, you can replace the lost money by using the weaknesspays cheat. I don't consider it cheating because the bulldozing and rebuilding was due to a game bug. Just make sure you don't add more than what was lost. 3.gif I occasionally use the cheat too, for example when i plopped a cloverleaf in a wrong position, setting me back several thousand. Instead of exiting and reloading the game, I find it faster to just bulldoze and replace the lost money with the cheat.

Did you download the stats correction pack from Twrecks ( https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=14195 )?

If so, it changes the values for several of the civic buildings and will send the budgets that include those buildings spiraling downward. You should just have to bulldoze and rebuild the civic buildings that have a fix in that pack.

Anyone facing this problem, with any kind of civic building (education, health, police, fire, power etc), could try this:

    - Save your city.
    - Go to the budget window, and set the educational budget to zero. This will set funding to zero for all educational buildings. Check the school bus funding, if it's not already 0, set it yourself (for all buildings).
    - Run the game for a gamemonth or a little bit more, say if you started at 8th of March run the game up to 10th or 12th of April. Ignore strikes etc.
    - Stop the game and set funding to normal levels. Restart.
    - The problem may have been fixed.
I fixed it this way several times. I was not able to find what causes this.
If you had this problem and solved it taking these steps, please post at this thread.
