Streetlights not working

So yes, my streetlights will not light up for anything

i took out all of the plugins, nothing

reinstalled the games a few times over the past months, nothing

got the night light mod, nothing.

And i dont know whats wrong still

excuse the night mod, but if you look hard you can see the lamps in the avenue

Can anyone please help?

Would be greatly appreciated

Well the night light mod makes the dark a lot darker. At least that's what I've heard. You need the EP1 Update from SimCity4's website. Unless you've already downloaded that.

    no i have the update, installed everything, and i dont think its a plugin that causes it.

    You can "install" the update, but if you didn't check the log and/or look at the actual file version, it didn't take.. This is very common for it not to "take".. Took me 3 tries before it finally installed. Further.. if you EVER changed the exe for ANY REASON even ONE SINGLE BIT the install won't take.. it checks the CRC before it will work.. If it's different or a crack of any kind it won't work. (In my case I had mod'ed it for "single processor" and had to get the "correct" .exe from the CD then patch it.) You must have version 1.1.638.0 after applying the patch. Look in the "xxxx-config.log" file in the INSTALL (ex. c:/program files/maxis/simcity 4/apps file) directory OR right-click and select properties and check "version". If you don't have the "english" version this data may be different. If you kept the log file for the patch (it would be created at the time of patching) it will tell you whether the patch failed or succeded  AND what the problem was when it failed.
