Ok, so DOWR does not run in elections, so Sim-A12 is keeping his position. Ok thanks for telling me that.

I'm really having trouble keeping up with all this, so right now I'm not going to do individual replies, but rather pick out a some things to address. Sorry if your post does not get answered, or if I sound rude, it's just hard for me to keep up with 31 posts in 3 hours.

    TimeMaster: 1)
    Virgin Oil Co. Rep.: Hampi (2) | Head of DHE: Hampi (1) | Head of DOR: Gunnster3 (1) | Head of Utility Comission: supercity124 (1) Ntq$310 (1) Gunnster3 (2) | Head of DWR: sim-Al2 (1) | Head of DOT: Patricius Maximus | Head of Planning Comittee: psander5
    2) Keep waiting... almost there.
    3) The DWR's jurisdiction is listed in the job description I provided with last month's election.
    4) Yep, DWR handles Water Pollution.

Archean: See list above. The same 7 positions as last month, plus me, making an 8 member city council. I figured by now you would have gone back and read the first 20 pages.

sedimenjerry: Please do, regardless of whether or not it has departmental relation.

Patricius Maximus:  1) True. You'll still be on the polls, which means you will still get to see how many people vote for you.
    2) Actually, we've mostly filled up this city tile. The farms west of Frontier have almost reached the edge of the city tile. And as for international transportation, there is a proposed airport, we just need to decide on a site for it.

Ntq$310: 1) The bus line Patricius mentioned will run from Crazyarchitect Corner to un1's resort, as illustrated by this tentative route map I just whipped up.
    2) The locations of the solar collectors has been shown several times. They're all behind the oil well in Crazyarchitect Corner. It's about as central as you can get.
    CoastLineRouteMap1.jpg
Patricius, what do you think? Sound good?

crazyarchitect: 1) I see LIH has added more properties to their portfolio from your sig.
    2) Correct. sim-Al2 is working on Hawk Island, and I can't have him lose the election in the middle of such an essential project, so I am retaining the right to not put him up for re-election. He is definately keeping his position.

nousername: Well right now we're in the middle of elections. Please run for something. The last update was the 17th, and that was a week ago.

JJC12321: 1) Water is a utility. Power, water, and sanitation are under the UC. Rail falls under the DOT.
    2) sim-Al2 is currently the only candidate. Water supply, as stated above, is under the UC's jurisdiction. The industrial is a mix of I-HT and I-M, and there is no water pollution threatening the city's water supply at this time.

    DoctorJ: Thanks.

deathtopukins: You must have an extremly famous CJ. You're going to put Blue Hope out of-replies.

May I see a total region please?? I'm very picky about where I should put something again...

(I have so much to build...)

very nice bus map, covers the coast preety good. And that is very central, is there any avaliable land around it? I Think a good 10 x 10 site will allow us to always have to room for the future power needs if they ever come.

Hmm, sorry about not going back. I came in a little too late with Virgin Shores, and, i can be impatient at times. 15.gif And the list, doesn't have a position I, either understand or feel attracted to. Sorry but i guess i'll just remain you're friendly neighborhood prime minister.

Yeah... lol. I wonder what the election will be like... May I also request a Water Pollution Data View? It will help me decide who to vote for.

Well right as I finished typing this out the first time, the IE7 window for some reason randomly disappeared, and I can't for the life of me figure out why... So this is the 2nd time I'm typing this.

    replybanner.jpg

    TimeMaster: Thanks.

un1: Yeah. I'm loving all the activity. Maybe eventually I will...

CLICK FOR FULL SIZE!!! (but not resolution--that's already full 2.gif)

    174Overview.jpg

    Ntq$310: Thanks.

Well, none except the few remaining tiles already reserved for the solar collectors, as I developed the farm that previously occupied that space last update.

Archean: Thats OK. I would recommend it in the future for everybody though, as reading it will answer a lot of questions.

Also not running is OK. You have your own Republic to attend to.

TimeMaster: Not gonna happen. At this time there are only City Council Members and Honorary Citizens, then regular citizens. You're an Honorary Citizen (along with jjune 4991) for being non-councilmen to make a 00 post.

Ntq$310: I'm going to wait until the last second, as I desperately need more people to run.

TimeMaster: Congratulations, you're now an honorary citizen and will have something named in your honor.

As stated previously, there is no water pollution threatening the city's water supply at this time, but I guess I can stick one in the next update.

DTP, have u or anyone else started planning other cities for the future. it might be helpful for later on when highways, subways, etc. come into play

hmm though at this point the main focus is on virgin shores, i wouldn't mind start having some other smaller towns coming into play. then again i have no idea what the master plan for virgin shores is, and this is up to the person who made it. thouhg having small towns start to appear would later on help making it more a metro area.

OK, to answer both of you together, Virgin Shores is the region. The towns that exist so far are Frontier, Crazyarchitect Corner, Hampus Village, Oak Grove, and June's Landing, plus some unnamed ones. All but Frontier are contained in the same developed area.

As stated previously, yes we are planning ahead for other cities. Remember when land was deeded to the DOT for future construction of freeways? Remember Hawk Island Seaport?

Eventually we will venture outside of this one city tile, the Virginites are just trying to fill it up as much as possible first.

And I'd like to get each position to have 2 or more candidates. All but 2 did the last election.

Those are districts in the City of Virgin Shores named after the users in the simtropolis forums.

Since this city is growing, can you make a city seal for Virgin Shores on the next update??

hmm i didnt know the full extinct of the planning, it all sounds good.

Part of me always loves the idea of the metro area slowly expanding into another area, and that area become part of the region, kinda like rockford, il to chicago, il there slowly but surly becomeing one area.

Patricius, what do you think? Sound good?quote>

It certainly does. The tentative route map will cover most areas nicely, as CrazyArchitect Corner has many commuters.

I will not run... but maybe I could just be a minor advisor.quote>

Would you like to be a minor DOT advisor? I might need one in some situations.

Right, Patricius. Um, I could help you in the DOT though. 2.gif But not the head. Just in that department. Or if it can't happen, then I guess you could just name a road or park after me.

supercity124: Actually, I consider them individual towns, and only 3 are named after simtropolis members. June's Landing for jjune4991 making the 200th post, Hampus VIllage because he took initiative and was the first big developer, and Crazyarchitect Corner because he owns most of the surrounding properties.

Ntq$310: Well my goal is to eventually make this one big metro area, but it will be a little while.

Patricius Maximus: OK then, I'll start building the bus stops.

crazyarchitect: You're not late. And thanks for running.

Big name theme park? Maybe not yet...

akhil1280: Polls open on August 15th at 1200 VST (GMT-5), and I use the poll option at the beginning of the thread.

TimeMaster: Then I guess you could be an advisor. And you'll still probably have something like a road or park named after you.
