    Hello Mattoman,

Just to double check the basics:

    1) You do have either SimCity 4 and Rush-Hour or SimCity 4 Deluxe installed?

    2) you have updated your game with the latest Official EA Patch?

    3) after 2, you downloaded/installed the SC4Update4BAT.exe?

    4) you have verified that the game is set to cycle between day and night?

    5) you do have night-lighted custom content installed (in the plugins folder) and placed (plopped or grown) in your current city?

    6) your night-lighted custom content does have power (i.e. electricity to power it's lights with)?

    7) you have given your sims enough nights to actually locate the light switch?

No detail is too small to be micromanaged.

Ninostar: I also tried that.. i found that post in another thread.. Didnt work 15.gif Ill run the game for a few days and ill see what happens, i usually just switch it straight to night and wait to see lights from the building i downloaded which is the Mclarren Building

https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=19853 And im sure its meant to have night lights by the picture.

EDIT: Yep still no night lights 15.gif

Check the file version of "*\Maxis\SimCity 4*\Apps\SimCity 4.exe", it should be 1.1.640.0, if not the updates have not been installed.

I use a No-CD cracked .exe because I unfortunately broke my SC4 CD and haven't bothered to get a new one. Cracked executable files will not show nightlights sadly. If you're in a similar situation (but I'm sure you have a legit bought copy of the game *winkwink*) you need to use an actual SC4 CD.
