SC4 terraformer problem

 I have downloaded the Portland map recently released. First, there was no config.bmp file in it, but that was speedily fixed. Now, however, when I read the readme, it says I have to upload an image into SC4 Terraformer. The readme says the image is "Saunders Lake.SC4M" but I imagine this is leftover from a previous readme and was overlooked when the template was updated for Portland. There was, though, a Portland.SC4M file in the .zip folder. I tried to upload it into the Terraformer but it didn't recognize it as an image file. What am I supposed to do?

i did this once, but i dont know how. someone gave me a tutorial about it...crap...im sorry dude. check the omnibus, maybe it was there. yep, i just checked it. look in omnimaps. its there.

Actually, the only Terraformer tutorial I found in Omnimaps just told me the same thing that the Portland readme told me: to import the .SC4M file as an image. When I try that, an error box pops up and says that SC4 Terraformer doesn't recognize .SC4M as an image file type. I can't find out why this is happening or how to fix it.

hmmmm...then i dont know. try and redownload terraformer. see if the download had a mistake. if it still does, then i suggest pm-ing Wouanagaine for help. or maybe someone will give you a better suggestion. sorry that i couldnt help.

I've looked at the NHP Portland, Oregon by Blade2K5.  Currently, the zip archive contains the following files:

config.bmp

Portalnd.rtf

Portland.SC4M

Portland)Vo1.jpg

PortalndRC01.jpg

I noticed in the comments of the upload that blade2k5 had forgotten the config.bmp file and has since added it.  It does appear the the Portalnd.rft ReadMe file does have a mistake.  In SC4Terraformer instructions, Step 4 states to "browse for the my file Saunders Lake.SC4M" file.  This should state "browse for the my file Portland.SC4M file".

As to installing and rendering the map, you should follow the instructions in the Installing a Map Created by SC4Terraformer article in the OmniMaps section of the Simtropolis Omnibus.  These instructions have been thoroughly tested and do work as written.

I can't test this right now as I'm at work.  I will try and test it either tonight or over the weekend to ensure there aren't any problems.

I would suggest following the steps of the above article once again.  Please let me know what specific problems you might be experiencing.
