Alternative to Fishman?

Hi! Is there an alternative to fishman out there? I'm developing a 3D model for an Italian train, I'm almost done I made the models the textures and all but I can't manage to run fishman on Windows Vista so I'm stuck. Please help me, I'm not asking about support for a Microsoft software (like on this thread: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=24&threadid=91227) I just want an alternative to fishman to edit fsh files. Well, off the top of my head, none specific that comes to mind. If you scour the net there are various FSH imaging software out there, but whether they can properly/appropriately handle SC4.fsh in the required format or image conversion, I couldn't tell you. Datgen was made specifically to handle fsh format of SC4: image converting FSH<>24bit bitmap (or whatever format it is/was it converts).

Personally I haven't used Fshman in quite some time. I've always used it on WindowsXP though, and I do recall getting the occasional error messages with it, but usually because of doing certain things. I would usually just ignore the errors & continue with what I'm doing without problem.

EDIT: IrfanView is quite popular & is compatible with Vista (so says the site): http://www.irfanview.com/ as I mentioned above though, whether this can properly/appropriately handle SC4 fsh files, well it doesn't appear to on the surface.

Thanks for your help, I will post something about my project soon. For now I solved the problem with Virtual PC, I created a virtual machine running Win98, installed the .NET Framework and runned Fishman from there, all worked fine but quite annoying! Will try Datgen soon, I'll let you know!
