The marquee sign turned out really well, but it's not the same kind of marquee that a theater would have.  Do a google or flickr.com search of theater marquee to see marquees.  That marquee almost makes it look like a warehouse.

For the facade, I think that the windows are too long.  I think that the columns should be moved closer together, or smaller columns should be added in between the windows.

The color of the roof is a little better, but it still needs a lot of work.  I think it would look better if it was darker, and if those lines ran perpendicular to how they are now.  Right now, without looking really close at it, it just looks like a texture without a UVW Map getting stretched all funny.

The lotting also needs work, since lots back then wouldn't have parking lots or plazas in front of them like that.  If you wanted to have a parking lot (it isn't historically necessary), it would be behind the building.

Also, if the theater portion of the building is the size of the blue part on the roof, then it would probably need to be taller to accommodate the seating getting higher.

I also have to suggest again to add parapet walls.  You can see on the Knoll Building about how they should look.

Hear it is. I did a test Export and this is what came out. as u can all see theres still plenty of work to be done. I will be getting some help on this one so hopfully it turns out great.

Looking good so far. Aside from what I said in the PM I also now notice that the stairs have the wrong angle in relation to the building. They are not perpendicular the the entry way, they are parallel to that long part that sticks out past the entrance. That's why the stairs are staggered.

Just a quick update, I added some roof junk but theres not alot on the real building so the roof is actully quite empty. I added some window textures and the bricks around the back of the building. this is what i have so far.

glass is very good, but ricks aren't.. you should add something to it as is is too much tileness.. and way to clean.. a gradient would be good as well (check Jasoncw tutorials )

Hey there;

Any chance the Michigan Central Station file can be downloaded from somewhere? I'd *so* love to have it in my city. It's one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Detroit. I miss it now that I've moved away.
